My Reviews

Why I like her:

Lorelei is another narrator I have listened to far more than I have reviewed because she has such an extensive group of books. She just happens to also narrate some of my favorite authors: Patricia Briggs, Janet Evanovich, Karin Slaughter, Darynda Jones–I could go on. She really has a way with quirky characters (Stephanie Plum, Charlie Davidson) which I think is where most people know her. However, since I first listened to her do more serious characters (Meg Gardiner’s Mission Canyon) that is where I think she shines.   If you haven’t gotten a chance to try her out, please do. I think you will enjoy her narrative skills. Plus, I am pretty sure you can find a book in a genre that you love that she has narrated!

  1. I’ve been collecting the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones to read. I keep waiting for it to be over before I start it, but it looks like that won’t happen for a while yet. In the meantime, I’m working on shorter series like the Night Huntress series by Jeanine Frost.

    • I don’t think Charley or Mercy are going to end anytime soon. I am where you are on waiting on things to end before starting them. It has become my way now LOL

      • Aah, so she hasn’t mention wrapping up that series yet then. Thanks for pointing that out Felicia! 🙂

I may try to read one every few months or so once I get caught up on other completed paranormal series that I’ve planned to read via audiobook. Unfortunately, I know that won’t be for at least a year or more due to the long list of other genres that I must read first.

        • Your welcome 🙂 That is the good thing about having other stuff to read/listen–I almost forget that I am behind in some things 🙂

  2. I know she narrates Karen Slaughter, but I think it is only the UK versions. I think someone else does the US versions. I was trying to find some of those books and was having issues. I love her voice for Charley and Mercy. I want to listen to even more. I want to try A Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule, which is about Ted Bundy that King narrates.

    • Here in the states she did some of the Kathy Reichs books they were pretty good. She also does some Jeffrey Archer books and I really like his thrillers. The only reason I got to listen to the Karin Slaughter ones is because someone brought them to me when they visited the UK. Then my dad confiscated them LOL

  3. LK is my absolute favorite narrator, even though I’ve only listened to her as Mercy and Charley. To me, her performance in Charley is why I’m still listening to the series (after switching from reading), even though I’m about done with the series. And as Mercy – she’s perfection. She is MT to me. I love how she tackles that entire series. WOOT!

    • She is Mercy! I listened to her do Mercy before Charley so to me she is MT before CD. Well actually I should admit she was Stephanie Plum before either but she does that series so differently that I actually forget she does those LOL (though they are more like the Charley series). 🙂 🙂

  4. I love this narrator! She is hands down one of my favorites! She also happens to be the first narrator that I ever listened to.

  5. I just recently listened to the first Charley Davidson book so I just now got introduced to this narrator and I really like her and I am sure I will get to listen to her a lot more as I loved this series I just started and it seems she narrates some series I would like to try. 🙂
