  1. I am just finishing A Man Called Ove- read by the same narrator as Moonglow, by Michael Chabon, which totally threw me! Same voice as a different character took a bit to get used to, but he is so good that it hardly matters past disk 2- Before the Fall is next…Just finished Nora Webster on audio too- fun irish accent is irresistable!

  2. So….I’ve been working on my audio endurance with podcasts. I’m up to 30-ish minutes without getting distracted. Not novel length yet lol but I’m working on it!

One day I will listen to audio books!

  3. I really need to get back on the Graveyard Queen books, especially because I love Hvam’s narration! I swear, if I ever win the lottery, I’m buying a country house just so I can wonder around the property reading all day- a la Elizabeth Bennet.

  4. Cris Dukehart narrated Penny Reid’s Elements of Chemistry series. I hope you enjoy the audiobook recording of Forever and the Night: Black Rose Chronicles, Book 1. I wasn’t sure about the sample. Cris has a nice voice but I can’t figure out why she sounds a little less enthused on it. Maybe the story dictates that. Please let us know how you like it compared to reading it back in the day.

I’m listening to LINGUS by Mariana Zapata. My library copy actually expired right before my lunch break yesterday. I was not a happy listener since for some odd reason my mobile Wi-Fi gets blocked by my company’s Wi-Fi sometimes. I couldn’t go to my library’s Overdrive page and renew LINGUS until I got home late last night, so I ended up switching back to my non-fiction audiobook, Hamilton: The Revolution. The latter is interesting, but I haven’t listened to the musical itself yet. That was a mistake on my part. I’m only reading it because one of my 4 bosses at work said I had to read it. I added the cast recording of the musical to my Amazon Prime collection so I can listen to it at work later today.

      • Oh no! Yeah, I was so worried LINGUS wouldn’t be available to recheck out once I got home that not. Luckily, it was still available and it picked up right where I had last listened. =)
