I returned last week’s pick up for me. I didn’t like the story at all even though Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite authors. I knew that might be a possibility but at least now I can say I gave it a whirl πŸ™‚

There is no chance that I am returning this week’s pickup. In fact it is playing as I type:

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Read by Eddie Redmayne

  1. I’m dabbling in podcasts and hoping one day I can work my way up to audio books. I have such trouble concentrating for that length of time!

i’m getting better so there’s hope lol

  2. What a bummer the new KA novel fell flat for you! I live a semi-fear that one of my go-to authors will write something I won’t like. I’m trying to avoid that by skipping any novel any of my favorite authors write if the plot synopsis doesn’t sell me on why I should read it. I also have so many unread new-to-me authors whose novels I already know I want to read to gamble on an iffy premise. But again, I worry that one of my favs could someday disappoint me.

I just finished THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR by Nicola Yoon (5-star listen for me, yay!). I started POUGHKEEPSIE by Debra Anastasia since this was one I put on hold for almost 2 years at the 40% mark in the e-book format. I should be able to finish it via audiobook this time.

  3. I really want to read or listen to Fantastic Beasts and see the movie. I also keep meaning to start that Seanan McGuire series.

  4. Some good ones here. πŸ™‚ I have Watch For the Dead coming up on my list and I am sure I will have Searching for the Dead soon. It’s an interesting series but getting a bit repetitive. Hope you enjoy the one you are listening too! πŸ™‚
