  1. Looks like a lot of good ones on that list. πŸ™‚ I just don’t see how you can reread/listen to a series over and over…lol. I have started listening to the HP series but one time will be enough. πŸ™‚ I guess I am just not much of a rereader. πŸ™‚

  2. Nothing screaming at me this week, which is a good thing because I have a lot of audiobooks from my library to listen to.

  3. Enjoy your HP reread! You know, I have never wanted to read the HP books. Even when I was studying abroad in Germany and my fellow classmates assured me it was an easy read auf Deutsch, I still had no desire to read it. I enjoyed the movies though even though I never watched HP & the Deathly Hollows Part 2.
Last night I finished Turbulence by Whitney G, narrated by one of my fav narrators, Erin Mallon and Joe Arden who was also excellent. I’m putting my previously started e-book on hold so I can e-book read the 38-page novella epilogue asap. As for audiobooks, I listened to a narrator of a book by a fav author and of a Cyborg series I had wanted to read via audiobook. He’s so uneven and kind of not so great of an actor that I decided to give narrator Sebastian York another try. He narrates Sustained by Emma Chase that I have been wanting to read for a year now. My library has it to borrow, so that’s was the 2nd sign I needed to get over my dislike of SY and just give him a 2nd chance. He’s actually much better on this Sustained novel than he was on Emma Chase’s Tangled novel. I think because he just didn’t sound like Drew to me I had a big bias against him and his style. It looks like he can vary it which is a relief. He narrates so many contemporary romance novels that I needed to get over my initial impression and dislike of him.

    Happy HP listening!

    • I thought SY did good on the Boudreaux series and one other. He is one of those narrators that sound different in almost every series he does. I think since you love contemporary romance, you will most def (forgive that but I rewatched an episode of The Wire–happens every dang time) have to get over your initial reaction LOL πŸ™‚ He does a freaking ton of them. Almost every other one is him then Joe Arden LOL πŸ™‚

      • I think the fact that Sebastian York has been the top choice for contemporary romance was also a factor in my resistance to giving him another chance. He was so not right for Drew in the Tangled series by Emma Chase that I stayed annoyed by his popularity all this time. It’s actually a relief to be able to listen to him since a lot of my favorite contemporary romance genre authors are using him so much more now. I wish authors would mix up their male narrators a bit more, but then again I understand why authors must go with whichever narrator they they think will help guarantee their audiobook sales. SY was actually really goon on Sustained by Emma Chase, so I have now one-clicked the full Reasonable Doubt series in e-book and audiobook. The audiobook is narrated by Erin Mallon (love her!) and Sebastian York.

I’m still bummed that I may never get to read that Cyborg series narrator by Michael Pauley. One author assured me that he’s quite popular (especially for M/M romance I believe). I’ve listened to him on different genres, and STILL I don’t like his voice style choices. =[
