Quick Thoughts: This is one of the very first vampire books that I ever read and I have a tattoo of the rose on the cover. That being said, I really loved finally getting to listen to Aidan and Neely’s love story. It is a bit dated but for those that love old school romance, I think you will love it. The hero is very alpha, the smex a little flowery, and the settings sometimes show their “date”. Still, I got lost in their romance all over again and swooned just like years past. I know that it is on my forever shelf (along with the rest of the series). I really hope that the rest come out on audiobook pretty darn soon!
Narrated by: Cris Dukehart / Length: 10 hrs and 7 mins
Cris did a pretty good job with the audio. I wanted Aidan to be a little more alpha manly soundly but she was perfect for Neely and Maeve (Aidan’s sister). I have listened to Cris do several books and recommend her as a solid narrator.
