Welcome to Foodie Fridays! This is a chance to combine two my favorite things: reading and cooking. I am going to put a linky in case anyone else want to participate. How I am going to do Foodie Fridays: each week I will be highlighting a recipe (or two) from either a cookbook or food blogger that I follow. I am going to make it and share with you my experience
This week I bring you another recipe from the The Sweet Magnolias Cookbook by Sherryl Woods with Chef Todd Wohlford
This is week 2 of 3 that I will be bringing you recipes from The Sweet Magnolias Cookbook by Sherryl Woods with Chef Teddi Wholford. I am really loving this cookbook so far and I think you will too :) They did a pretty good job of combining Southern foods with real ingredients that you will have in your kitchen. The few ingredients that are “unusual” they tell you how to get or make! I find that extremely helpful in a cookbook! It is something that I always look for when recommending a cookbook to a friend!
This week I am going to share one of the drink recipes which I will be trying this fall. Doesn’t this sound DELISH!

When I think of southern cooking, I think of fried food or barbeccue!!
Mmmm it sounds yummy! :D
This sounds delicious and perfect for fall.
I think of all kinds of great foods I grew up with: cornbread, dirty rice dressing, seafood (fixed all kinds of ways,) biscuits, baked ham and sweet potatoes, pecan pie, fried catfish, homemade fig preserves…the list goes on and on!
That is a perfect recipe for fall. Now I am craving buttermilk biscuits, fried chicken and pie! Yum!
Um. Felicia? Can you just move in with me and cook for me from this cookbook? That would be amazing. And who knows, maybe you’ll be so blown away by Ohio (ha!) when you come to Cleveland you’ll want to stay here and we can be neighbors:)
Oooooooooooooooooo sounds perfect for an upcoming fall night. Thanks for sharing. (not an entry)
