A couple of weekends ago I made what has to be the most delectable cake I have ever ate. It is also the UGLIEST cake I have ever made but who cares when it tastes DELICIOUS!

Changes that I made and what you will need for the recipe:
For the cake:
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. light brown sugar, packed (I used dark)
1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened
3 large eggs (I used egg beaters)
1 tsp. canela, ground (ground cinnamon may be substituted) (I used cinnamon)
1/2 c. heavy cream
For the topping:
1/3 c. unsalted butter, melted
1/2 c. dark brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. heavy cream
1 c. coconut, sweetened, shredded
1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Took the cake out and put the topping on to go back in the oven. Trust me when I say it looks like a fail but it was delicious!
I swear I gained 5lbs from eating this but it was well worth it (I took it to work and they all agreed)!
