Welcome to Foodie Fridays! This is a chance to combine two my favorite things: reading and cooking. I am going to put a linky in case anyone else want to participate. How I am going to do Foodie Fridays: each week I will be highlighting a recipe (or two) from either a cookbook or food blogger that I follow. I am going to make it and share with you my experience
If y’all have never visited Plain Chicken you need to! She has some great recipes that will meet your comfort food needs. There is a good selection of recipes and they are easy to navigate. Most of them can be done with little or no cook experience. I highly recommend her site :)
This week I made Cream Cheese Sausage Balls (click here for the recipe).
Taste: I don’t think I will go back to making sausage balls the old way (no cream cheese) these were too delicious!
Ease: These were easy! Plus you can freeze them for use at a later date!
What I changed:
1 lb hot sausage, uncooked (Used Regular Sausage)
8 oz cream cheese, softened (Used Fat Free Cream Cheese)
1 1/4 cups Bisquick
4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded (Used Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese-Mild)
What I would use these for: Breakfast or Taking to a party as an appetizer.
Pictures from adventures in making them:
What did you make this week?
