#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in Sept 23 2016

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This month I will be checking in where I stand on my goals week to week 🙂

Sept Check-in (Goals where I stand): (Only 2 more days this month)

  • 7500 steps 6 days a week
      • Week 1– NAILED IT (though this week I won’t be because I cut the bottom of my foot–OUCH)
      • Week 2–I NAILED IT on the days I could walk but Thurs-Sun was a bust due to my foot.
      • Week 3-Was a Draw! I walked as much as I could inbetween work phone calls. I only missed goal once but for being on the phone for 100+ hours in 7 days that isn’t too shabby!

  • 10 min strength training 6 days a week (rotating areas–this will be done at first just using my own body weight and then moving into weights)
      • Week 1- Not even one day and that is really bad
      • Week 2- Repeat week one
      • Week 3-I managed 3 days this week so that is a huge improvement!

  • 7th day just take a walk as long as I feel fine. This could be 10 min to an hour. It should be done more at a normal walking pace—this is kind of a “rest” exercise.
      • I didn’t have a rest day last week. DIY all the way made me hit goals every day.
      • Due to my foot I did actually take full rest days this week
      • Did a rest day this week 🙂

  • Diet:  High Iron, High Fiber

      • Week 1- I got my blood work back and I am really anemic. Got some tests done and I have nothing causing it so first step is to change my diet to High Iron, High Fiber. Last time I did this I gained 10 lbs initially (because of the iron supplements) and so far that is holding true in this case. It is frustrating but I know it will balance out. I just have to give it time but right now it makes me want to scream.
      • Week 2-I am still sticking to my diet. My weight has leveled off so my hope is that it starts dropping *crossing fingers*
      • Week 3- Still sticking to my diet. No weight change but hopefully that kicks in next week.

  • Vitamins every day! Anti-Inflammatory Daily!
      • Week 1-  Nailed It. Though I hate being back on Iron cause it makes me bloated and “heavy”
      • Week 2- Nailed it!
      • Week 3-Wasn’t great this week. Remembered most days but forgot on a few.

  1. Yay for your foot being healed…that must make things much easier!!! I’m in work hell right now and definitely feeling the stress, so I’ve dialed things back a notch…and just have to be ok with that. Now to only not stress-eat too much 😉 Have a great week!!!
