Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week I did well on exercise and if you want to see my biggest area of *sighness* go over here

IMPORTANT: STARTING APRIL 1 it is time to start checking-in over at That’s What I’m Talking About. I will set up reminders and of course my check-ins to point you in that direction! 🙂

I will be picking winners of the 1rst quarter bracelets next week!

  1. Thanks so much Felicia, check-ins have been the thing keeping me going, my walking has dropped off while coping (or not lol) with health issues but I keep plugging away at it. I know there are plenty of us in the same boat. And I’m in again for April.

  2. I think I missed a check in or two, but I’m still here! Working from home, and then going to training (where I did walk), and then more working from home is really taking it’s toll. I am HORRIBLE at taking breaks when I’m at home (so I’ve discovered), so my step count has been crap LOL And I’ve been so caught up in studying for this certification that I’ve neglected the gym, too. Ugh. BUT we’re finally getting to move in to the new digs at work, which means a few things: a) walking buddies for lunch and b) an actually cut off point, so I can focus on separating work life and home life. Hoping the latter will help me get better about the gym visits and Spring SHOULD be coming soon, which means walks outside!

  3. While I had another crazy busy week at work, I did make a more conscious effort to move and it did help me feel better, stress-wise. I’m hoping that work calms down for a while and that I can enjoy the spring-like weather we will have this upcoming week with some long walks with the dogs! Can’t believe we are already 3 months into the new year – this year is flying by!!!

This week was my work conference and some days I didn’t even make it to 5K steps and we went out every night. Total cheat week with food.
My knee is still sore and I am not very happy about that but a nice 2 mile walk with the dogs went ok. I will keep resting it as much as I can. I am really glad I didn’t sign up for the 5 mile run in a few weeks.
Next week I have class every night to speed up my dive instructor training. Hopefully I will be almost done after this.
I hope all of you have a great week.

  5. I felt better this week – my cold is almost gone and I walked a lot more than the past couple of weeks.
I weighed myself last week and have lost 9 lbs since the January. I’m thrilled with that and hope to double that by the end of the year (I lose weight slowly).
Thanks for hosting the past three months – that went fast!

  6. Fridays keep sneaking up on me. I had my best week yet with walking, active minutes and using the Fitbit app to track what I am eating. I actually was afraid that tracking food would make me eat more, but so far, it has help me become aware of some of the odd things that I did not need to eat. I am talking to you M&M’s at breakfast.
Thank you for giving me a place to hold myself accountable.
