#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in July 8 2016

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This month I will be checking in where I stand on my goals week to week 🙂

July Check-in (Goals where I stand):

  • 6500 steps 6 days a week <–NAILED IT
  • 10 min strength training 6 days a week (rotating areas–this will be done at first just using my own body weight and then moving into weights) <—NAILED IT
  • 7th day just take a walk as long as I feel fine. This could be 10 min to an hour. It should be done more at a normal walking pace—this is kind of a “rest” exercise. <—Did my 5k on the rest day. Took me an hour but it was nice to get it done
  • Diet: 90% Mediterranean Diet minus Nightshade Vegetables <—Working on it. This week I tackled eating food from home (not going out). I did OK but I am doing much better this week!
  • Vitamins every day! <—NAILED IT

  1. oh what great progress you have done. And congrats on the 5K. I do need to try one of those. I have been making an effort to eat cleaner, and working out every day. Thank goodness for pinterest fitness inspirations boards hehe

  2. I also formatted my week similar to yours – I hope you don’t mind…I like the idea of holding yourself accountable all month to your goals! You had a good week! I always tend to struggle with lunch – I have my breakfast nailed down and dinner is hit or miss depending on if my husband is home or not, but lunch is where I constantly struggle. Some days I’m home and others I’m in the office, so that makes it even harder…but I’m playing around with it! Hope you have a great week!!!

  3. I love how you’re putting your goal progress in big, bold, bright red! It makes me a bit gleeful to see how well you’re doing 🙂 I might do something similar since just putting the goals I’ve met in bold doesn’t seem to make them stand out much more than the goals I didn’t meet.

  4. Awesome job on your goals so far! I’m finding the eating healthier/eating at home part to be the hardest. Especially when you have a family to feed and sometimes takeout is so much easier! This week I took a bit of a break from my exercising too, so hopefully next week I’ll be back at it!
