#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in Jan 8 2015

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in Jan 8 2015 (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)!

How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week (for me that means through Wed) was a good week on hitting step goal but ended dreary with the actual flu. Though I did get in steps on Wednesday but they were not of the exercise variety (more of the I am super sore and moving helps variety). I am not actually doing any weight tracking except on the 1rst of each month (since my goal is to go at it super slow). Some awesome news: We have a Facebook Group if you want to join us.     Sorry to read that you’ve been ill. Hopefully you’ll get in the swing of things again this week!

    I slightly changed my goals. I realized everyone deserves a day off on the couch! So, my fitbit now has to register every week: 3 x 7,000+ steps, 3 x 5,000+ steps and one what-ever. 🙂

    Hmmmmmm. I conned myself out of going to the gym all but one day. I did manage to get my steps in a few days. Between a bad few days at work and super cold weather and snow I hid out under the blankets most days. Amazingly, I did lose two lbs. I’m back on track and gonna hit my goals for this week!

    Hope you’re feeling better!

    Got in all of my daily step goals and then some this week. Made it to the gym a few days this week for some extra miles on the treadmill. Woohoo!!

    Bad week for me when it came to working out. I am not a person who can work out during that wonderful time of the month. I also had a doctor’s appointment to address a few health issues. Good note…I’ve lost 10-11 pounds since July. I was given some new meds to help with Raynaud’s Syndrome. That’s when there is a blood flow issue to fingers and toes. I’ve had it for a while but she just diagnosed it. While I was there she poked and prodded my head and neck and I ended up with a horrible headache/migraine that didn’t respond to my new rescue meds.

    I did get out today and put in 3.12 miles. Yay me!

    I’m going to give this a go cause it sounds like such a good idea — and one of the things I really want to get better about is being active and healthy, especially given the back-related pains I’ve experienced in recent months.

    Get better! I got sick a couple days after Christmas (while I was on a road trip, which was absolutely miserable), and I’m still coughing and have all sorts of annoying sinus-blockage. Bad year for it, I’m afraid :/

    the flu sucks but I’m glad you could get the medication.

    check in 🙂 156,351 steps over the last week, I ate broccoli and peas and celery and cucumbers and tomatos and squash. Of course I also had tater tots once LOL

    I did have to dig out my size 15 pants because I couldn’t keep the size 17s on

    Missed my step goal by about 10k partially due to forgetting my fitbit on the charger and also not wanting to get out in the cold. Only ran once, also due to cold.
    Today is my first day of whole30 and I took my weight and measurements for today and will re-measure again in 30 days. Very unpleasantly surprised with my stats.

      I have been lucky. I caught it early so hopefully I feel right as rain soon. I have been able to keep my steps in the 5000 range because it has helped with the soreness 🙂 That is a big change for me when before I would have just curled up on the couch and probably been sick longer! I think the moving has helped it worked through my system.

      I actually caught it early and tamiflu is working its magic. I feel tons better today and walking out some of the soreness the last two days has helped too! That is such a night/day difference for me 🙂
