  1. I got my fitbit and so I am signed up and will put my fitreader thing on with my week in review post. 🙂 I learned this week how much I don’t move around, so not got to do something about it. 🙂

    • The first year I had mine–that was my main focus. I started out low and slowly built up 🙂 Slow and steady is the best way to make it a habit.

  2. I got sick this week so I wasn’t that great. I did get to the gym which was a great workout. I want to start and finish the fun run and start the 5k this week if I’m feeling up to it.
    Good luck with the 10k!

  3. Sounds like you are off to a good start! Will it be a running 10K or walking? Have a great week!

I had planned to try some healthy recipes this week but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’d like to replace my morning Pop-Tart with something better for me 🙂

    • Walking! I am not a runner 🙂

I am just slowly working in my eating. Last month I just logged everything I ate. This month I gave up fast food. I have loads of small things I try to do but usually only have one major goal LOL

  4. I saw the training plan you posted on Facebook – it looks great and I might try it out! I always do better when I have a plan…I find it more motivating!!! Good luck and I think having a positive attitude is so helpful!!! I so need help with planning lunches, too! I have a good go-to breakfast and do ok with dinner, but lunch is my downfall…I try not to eat out when I’m at work – I’m back to working 3 days a week, but it’s so hard to plan what to bring some days! I really need to figure that out!!! Have a great week 🙂

    • That is the one I am trying though I am going to do each week for 2. This week I missed the long walk on Sunday because I was cleaning 🙂

  5. 10 K training is awesome. I got my goal of 55 000 steps in. Very hot now Down Under so if I don’t get out early, I don’t get out! Lunches at work – so glad I am retired now and don’t have to think of that, mine used to be very boring!

    • YEAH for 55000 steps 🙂 Yep it is a walking 10k and i am doing every week for two weeks but it should be awesome. 🙂 I do much better with lunches when I work from home but in the office is often a FAIL!

  6. I am so glad I have the gym and running, other wise I think I might just lose my mind. Work is just double stressful with my boss leaving and the new one being totally clueless.

Got my 12k steps in every day and 2 trips to the gym in. I ran my 5k race and ended with a better time that anticipated. The only bad part was the two foot bridges were moving up and down because of all of the runners and caused some motion sickness.

  7. Good luck with the small steps! I think I need to focus more on the small steps–I always look towards the big goal and ignore the small stuff….and then I end up discouraged….

    • I am having too. I made big goals but found I need to work up to them. Last month I logged every thing I ate. This month I gave up fast food. No other restrictions and I will work up to moving stuff around that I cook.

  8. Staying positive is the way to go! I’m going to start 10k training next week. Slowly but surely, as long as my knees don’t give out on me. Running my second 5k of the year tomorrow morning! Pretty excited about it.

  9. A positive attitude can make or break it, in my opinion. I did better this week. Didn’t get as many Daily Burn workouts in, but had a higher step count and was more active on more days. I tend to bring leftovers for lunch to work almost everyday. I do sometimes do frozen, if I don’t have leftovers, but that is probably less than once a week, which is good because I really don’t like frozen.
