#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in Feb 26 2016

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week:

Make sure you go visit That’s What I’m Talking About and see her check-in

  • I went back on WW this week and have to say I like their new program!  It focuses on healthier choices not just the scale
  • Exercise was good this week and I started back with my Fitbit. More of a wear when not working out type of thing since I do strength and cardio at the same time with the walk at home programs. I will just input those workouts in manually.

How did you do?

  1. I’m so hit or miss with strength training…I’ll have a good week and do it, and then I go weeks without doing anything but cardio. I really need to get better at balancing that!!! Have a great week!

  2. I’m glad you had a good week! Strength training is something I need to add to my workouts. I don’t have a lot of strength and I need to work on that!

I love using my Fitbit. I wear it both during my walking workouts and just day to day stuff. It definitely helps motivate me to move.

  3. You do so well and I admire the variety with strength training, I know I should do it but don’t. I usually update progress on my weekly It’s Monday! but for the end of the month decided a post of its own!

  4. I didn’t edit my check-in post to add this, but the result of my doctor’s appointment is that I’m now wearing an ankle brace. I won’t be going back to exercising for at least another week. The good news is that, since this was an appointment for my overall health, not just my ankle, I should be getting physical therapy for my messed up shoulder (finally). VA healthcare was atrocious the last time I actually got to see a doctor, but my new doctor is amazing and I’m getting the care I need. I just hope it continues, but if it doesn’t, at least I’ve got free health insurance starting in a couple months through my new job.

  5. Yay for starting back with your Fitbit! I input a lot of my exercise manually, too. Even though I track it on my Fitbit most of the times.
It was a good week for steps and running. Until this morning – had serious foot pain and couldn’t do my normal run. I’m a bit bummed, but I have learned it’s okay to rest! Or I keep telling myself at least. 😉
