#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in Feb 19 2016

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week:

Make sure you go visit That’s What I’m Talking About and see her check-in

  • I had a horrible eating week due some stress at work. So I joined Weight Watchers and will start full fledged on Monday. Sometimes you just need to put your money on the line to toe the line.
  • I did pretty good with working out though (walking helps me not get annoyed with actual people) but I am still going to do week 1 of the 10k training one more week.
  • Other than that, looking forward to this week being done (won’t be until Tuesday) at work. I am back on the horse now though instead of then. Stress is part of life gotta learn how to manage!

How did you do?

  1. I hope you have a better week this week! I’ve never tried weight watchers but I bet the accountability helps. I didn’t do very well this week with my fitness goals or healthy eating but tomorrow is a new day!

  2. I am with you, getting back to writing things down, and not snacking. I completely had a stress eating week, and the thing is I could even see what I was doing . Very frustrating. Best of luck with WW.

  3. I got in another 5K – did Leslie Sansone’s 5K with a Twist – what a fun, total body workout!!! Hope the stress doesn’t get you too down!!! But good for you – using walking to help control your annoyance! I’ve been known to take some really long, fast walks in the past b/c of stress/anger…it helps 😉 Have a good week!

  4. As I sit here eating chocolate chips (lol) I can say that I did get 2 days of walking on the treadmill in! We finally cleaned up our basement last month and I got the husband to put our treadmill back together. It’s kind of nice going down in the cool, clean basement now while the kids nap … and I love having my Netflix while I walk! I’ve had horrible pain in my feet and ankles since having Baby O so I’m hoping walking helps – and I have an appointment at the foot and ankle clinic in case it doesn’t help! Hopefully next week I can get more in … and maybe some yoga too!

  5. Glad I am not the only one with a really not so great week.

I got my 2 gym sessions in and 12k steps in every day. It’s been a rough week emotionally and I have cried more in the last week than I have the previous year. My eating at a deficit has suffered but I will be back to it soon. I do have a 5k race tomorrow that’s in the neighborhood and hope it goes well.

  6. WW will help you get back on track. I can’t stand wasting money, so I know it’s a good motivator if I’m paying for it! I have been using a 10K runner app, but haven’t gotten to start the next week yet. The first day is a 5 mile run, and I haven’t had that much time to commit to a long run all week. Hoping on Sunday I can do it.
