#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in August 7 2015

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week despite having one day where I just was sore all over I hit my average goal. I think I pushed adding in too much strength on top of increasing step count the first part of the week so I am going to do strength 3 days a week and those days will be lower step count. My overall average of 8000 will stay as my weekly goal but daily will vary (more on non-strength days) 🙂

  • Friday:  11734 steps / 55 active minutes
  • Saturday:  7176 steps / 30 active minutes
  • Sunday:  9069 steps / 31 active minutes
  • Monday:  8658 steps / 32 active minutes
  • Tuesday:  4777 steps/ 0 active minutes (off day)
  • Wednesday: 9226 steps /34 active minutes
  • Thursday:  8726 steps/ 55 active minutes

Average: 8480 steps

  1. Well done meeting your goal!! I need to do more strength training each week. I’m terrible at it, because I really don’t like it. I’d rather be running or walking. I saved a new easy strength workout on my phone today to try. The shorter and easier the better. LOL.

  2. Great job on stepping up your goal. I had a bad week. I got thrown by my horse, so I’ve been out of commission since Wednesday night. I’m hoping to start increasing my steps on Monday and then adding back in DailyBurn by the end of the week. We will have to see how I’m doing. It will be at least a week or two before I attempt riding again.

  3. You’re doing very well, Felicia! It’s good that you keep up with tracking everything 🙂 I have started to pay attention to the ‘health’ thing on my iPhone, and it’s good to see that I’m also walking quite a lot of steps every day, even when I don’t really mean to 🙂

  4. This is the first time I have seen this challenge. Four months I started get moving, get healthy life style. It was way over due! I exercise everyday, but the last 2 weeks have been a little rough. I have lost 28 pounds, and many inches, and feel so much better. I missed 3 days this week exercise, but I am getting back on track today!
