#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

Remember Check-Ins till July are done over That’s What I’m Talking About

So this week went back to the Dr because we are week 4 into the no bread thing: yeah it isn’t gluten. This week which should have been much like week 1 was again up/down even though for 4 days I seriously at the same exact thing everyday. May I am on vacations, conventions, and such. I am going to keep my exercise going and go back to my weight watchers eating plan for the month. I don’t think I will lose any weight but at least I know that I am being healthy. We will start on another plan of attack in June and probably start thyroid med in July *sigh* (I really don’t want too but at this point it might be wise to at least try them). I am trying a herbal thyroid balancer for the next month while I go back to having a balanced diet.

So my weight was 202.3 on the 16th and 201.1 on the 23rd.


  • 201.1 lbs 41.7% fat
  • 201.8 lbs 41.9% fat
  • 202.7 lbs 42.0% fat
  • 202.3 lbs 42.1% fat
  • 202.3 lbs 42.1% fat


Right now my only focus is continuing my exercise and just eating well. Remembering that while this is a struggle that at least I am not where I was 10 years ago 🙂

  1. Eating well is super important. My friend found out she is diabetic, so she’s been trying really hard to be healthy. Her granny is also diabetic and pretty much told her mistakes WILL happen. You will eat something bad….you can’t get horrible down on yourself.

  2. Congrats on losing a pound this week! I hope the thyroid balancer will help you. You just have to try being as healthy as you can because you can’t really control if you need the meds or not farther than that.

  3. Coming from someone who lives on meds (I have five prescriptions, though I’ve dropped two and took one from twice a day to once a day), I understand. I’ve been trying to cut mine back to see if that helps with my weight issues. At least you are moving in the right direction, even if it is slowly. Plus, remember that muscles weight more than fat. As much as you’re working out, you have to be building some muscles.

    I know you are working hard to get the diet working for you and stay away from meds. Sorry that you are having such a hard time.
