#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

Remember Check-Ins till July are done over That’s What I’m Talking About

So last week I discussed my thyroid issues and current plan. I didn’t discuss goals which is something I had to remind myself of this week when a little of that four pounds lost came back. The goal is to lose 4 pounds in 4 weeks. With my hormone/thyroid issues sometimes (most times) this is a totally frustrating process. I practically ate meal for meal exactly what I did the first week (I moved my veggies around a bit but they were all still there). More importantly, I didn’t add anything to my diet.  I still gained 2lbs back when my monthly visitor came a knocking.  I am sticking with it and hoping that it works out. It is sad that both wine and bread are out of my diet though cause I could use some wine right about now LOL

I loved this video! Reminded me that we all have body issues.

So my weight as we expected has weight gone back up when “Aunt Flo” came to visit:


  • 202.3 lbs
  • 201.9 lbs 43.1% fat
  • 201.9 lbs 42.4% fat
  • 200.4 lbs 42.0% fat
  • 202.9 lbs
  • 202 lbs 41.4% fat
  • 202.7 lbs 42.2% fat



I am very interested to see if next week I take off the 2lbs and another or if it continues to hover.

  1. I’m a weird one. I like veggies. 🙂 I keep getting told to eat more until I run down a typical meal. Oh nevermind. LOL I’m also guessing the 2 lbs isn’t actual weight. Remember water can be quite heavy! So cheers *raises veggies* here is to good health!

  2. Try not to get too discouraged around your monthly visitor week. I always gain during that time, and have read that women gain anywhere from 2-10 lbs because of it! But it always comes off after the week is over. 🙂

  3. It’s really hard to get those few pounds off and keep them off, especially with that visitor! That week is always the worst for me.
    My goals aren’t doing too bad, I was kind of in a depressed funk earlier this week but I seem to be getting out of it and I’m exercising when I get the chance. 🙂

  4. I just got in my first bike ride of the year, yesterday. While I am so sore today I know it will be worth it in the end. 2 years ago I started off at 280 lbs. now I am 240 lbs with a goal of 200. Keep it up!
