#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in April 1 2016

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week:

Make sure you go visit That’s What I’m Talking About and check-in

  • I was another 1.5 lbs down at my weigh-in this week bringing my total to 6lbs. Slow and Steady 🙂
  • I got the Fitbit Alta–The band is hard to clasp but I like the sleeker design. I haven’t had it long enough to gauge battery life yet though.
  • It is APRIL so make sure to go check-in over at That’s What I’m Talking About as she is handling 2nd quarter!!!

How did you do?

  1. Tell me what you think of the Alta. They look pretty and I was thinking of getting as an alternate to wear when I don’t want to wear my Charge HR.

Great job on the weight loss!!

  2. I’m really liking the Alta…though the clasp can be difficult to do at times! I just need to figure out which arm is better to wear it on. I’m left-handed, but still do a fair amount with my right hand. I’ll need to experiment with that. Did you figure out how to change the display from vertical to horizontal?

  3. I have a Fitbit One and I’m thinking of getting the Alta because I think it would be easier to just wear on my wrist. I love the bands too. They have some really pretty ones. Too bad the one I want is so expensive!

Good job with your weight goal! I am afraid to weigh myself because I know I haven’t made the best eating choices. I am participating in The Biggest Loser at work and hopefully we won’t have another weigh-in for awhile because I know I gained weight from the first one!

  4. I just bought a Fitbit surge and although I did think it was a bit too big on my wrist I love all the features that it has on it, it’s definitely motivating me in taking more steps. I also love how it records all the details about my activities I take part in and my sleeping patterns! I hope you have a great week!

  5. This has been one of my least steps weeks. I was walking at midnight on Tuesday to get my steps in after spending the evening in the ER with a friend, Wednesday’s social run was cancelled due to storms. Worked past 11pm 2 nights. I am so over March.

I did get in 12k every day but no gym this week due to extenuating circumstances. Hoping April is kinder.

  6. My step count isn’t as good this week. I had a horrible headache on Monday, but met my goals the rest of the week. Now that Spring is here, I’ll be at the zoo more, which helps me get my steps in on the weekend. Now if the rain ever stops, I can ride again. I don’t see it in my future anytime soon. Rain almost every day in the 15 day forecast.
