2016 Virtual 5k/10k/Fun Mile Series March Finish Line

FitReaders2016

Welcome to #FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About.

What is a Virtual Fun Mile/5k/10? This Virtual Fun Mile/5k/10k is organized online and FitReaders from all over the world can compete. Where it is different from a traditional Fun Mile/5K/10k is that you are responsible for completing the walk/run at any place you desire, at any time during the race timeframe that works for you.  You must complete one of the 3 races in one session:  1 mile is for those just starting out.  5k/10 are for those that are ready for a bigger push. For this series, each race will need to be completed between the first and last day of the month. You will need to take a picture at the end of the race (not of your face if you don’t want but your time, song list, ect) and post it either on FB, Twitter, or your check-in. Then add your name to the finish line below and what race you completed (in the comments) so that I can keep track for end of the year medals (for 5k/10k) and certificates (for Fun Mile). Grab your virtual ribbon so that you can display it proudly on your check-ins either on your blog, FB, or Twitter. If at the end of the year you have completed 10 of the 12 races–you will get a medal or certificate!

REMINDER: you most complete either a Mile, 5k, or 10k in one session. At the end of your session sign the linky below and leave which one you completed in the comment section!

  1. I’d REALLY like to participate in this, but I’m a little confused on what all I need to do/post! I read everything over a couple times and I’m still confused (maybe it’s just because I’m tired). If you wouldn’t mind filling me in it would be GREATLY appreciated! You can email me if you’d like – morgan_kirk@icloud.com.

Thanks lady! New follower by the way 🙂

    • Basically for the virtual races: once you have finished your 5k or 10k take a picture of either yourself, the route, or your tracker and post it either on the Facebook Group, Twitter #fitreaders , or your blog. Then come back here and sign the linky up above. At the end of the year those that have competed in most of the months will get medals 🙂 Hopefully that explains it!

  2. I got my 5K in for March – we had some lovely warm weather here in NY, so I took advantage and went walking outdoors!!! Hopefully will get a 10K in as well this month 🙂
