#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week was another great one for my Focused Mile! I am really enjoying this 20 min walking meditation–it really helps center me and check-in myself. I have done a no-weigh in January but I am feeling firmer and stronger so I love that. I hope y’all are having a great week!!!!

  1. Yea! Great job. You have inspired me. I’m trying to spend some time each day with myself – quiet, in meditation. Whether it is on a walk, at yoga, or just in my own space. Thanks!

  2. I got in 3 days of workout plus 1 day of hard core stretching that my body needed. I had a crap eating week, but overall it could have been worse. Hoping next week will be much better though! I’m glad your Focused Mile is working so well for you 🙂

  3. Sounds like you are having a great month!!! When you do your focused, meditation mile – are you listening to an actual mediation or are you just walking and being with your thoughts? Every once in a while I do the 28 day meditation challenge with Oprah & Deepak and I love it! I find it really helps recenter me and recharge me! Have a great week!!! 🙂

  4. My son started a fitbit challenge. He’s whooping my ass but at least he’s active. I may not join this challenge officially but your posts motivate me to keep moving!

  5. Your daily mindful mile sounds relaxing. I will trade to the mile I do every morning with the Terrors, not nearly as calming. And I am glad that you are seeing the results! That always helps 🙂

I made 12k per day 6 of 7 days, I fell 600 steps short Sunday. I had way, way under hydrated on Saturday and still ran my 5k per day and my kidneys were screaming. I am now drinking up to a gallon of water per day. It’s actually helped with my running.

My average is 14.5k steps per day but still losing 2k per day with my sync issues. It drives me batty. That’s why I really won’t do fitbit challenges until this gets fixed.

I set a new PR for my 5k (2 minutes exactly faster than the previous week). I am on a 13 day run streak of 5k’s per day. I did decide to see how far I could comfortably run Tuesday and knocked out 5.2 miles. I really should have just gone for my 10k :).

36 days of tracking my calories on myfitnesspal. I can tell the difference in my energy levels with cutting most of the crap from my diet.
