#FitReaders: Commit to Exercise for March 2016

Welcome to #FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

It is time to commit to exercise for the month of March 2016  ! Whether you are just joining us, need to get back on the wagon, or just going to keep up your progress from last year– now is the time to stand up and say “I’m in! I’m committed to getting up and getting moving!”

Also new feature this year: Virtual 5K/10K races

What is a Virtual 5k?  This Virtual 5k is organized online and FitReaders from all over the world can compete. Where it is different from a traditional 5K is that you are responsible for completing the walk/run at any place you desire, at any time during the race timeframe that works for you. For this series, each race will need to be completed between the first and last day of the month. You will need to take a picture at the end of the race (not of your face if you don’t want but your time, song list, ect) and post it either on FB, Twitter, or your check-in. Then add your name to the finish line page for March so that I can keep track for end of the year medals. Grab your virtual ribbon so that you can display it proudly on your check-ins. If at the end of the year you have completed 10 of the 12 races–you will get a medal

  1. I am in for March. February was okay for me, I felt like I was struggling more with my food choices so I need to improve that this month. Plus, keep moving.

  2. I’m down with March. Goals include finishing another 10K and getting back into my Body Flow/Yoga once per month. Also trying to make better choices eating (don’t judge as I sit here eating GS cookies!)

  3. This is my last month of having a race planned!
    Hoping to improve on my time on my 5k on 3/12 the Paddy Dash with Vivian the wonder dog!

    Jan 120 miles ran, February 114 miles ran. March goal is 130 miles for the month.
    Goal – 12k steps per day and 2 gym visits per week.
    Also find April and May longer than 5k races.

  4. This is my first time signing up, but I’ve been inspired by Brandie’s posts (Brandie is a BookJunkie). I hope I can do the 5k this month. I want to hike it. Thanks for hosting, I find the whole thing very motivating! 🙂
