Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 3 aka #30DaysOfThanks2014. I had so much fun doing this last 2 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year.
Book: Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews
This was a rare 5 for me! I have read it twice in less than a month 🙂
Story: Nevada Baylor is faced with the most challenging case of her detective career—a suicide mission to bring in a suspect in a volatile case. Nevada isn’t sure she has the chops. Her quarry is a Prime, the highest rank of magic user, who can set anyone and anything on fire.
Then she’s kidnapped by Connor “Mad” Rogan—a darkly tempting billionaire with equally devastating powers. Torn between wanting to run or surrender to their overwhelming attraction, Nevada must join forces with Rogan to stay alive.
Rogan’s after the same target, so he needs Nevada. But she’s getting under his skin, making him care about someone other than himself for a change. And, as Rogan has learned, love can be as perilous as death, especially in the magic world.

- Burn for Me (Example Below) by Ilona Andrews (actually 3 series by this team of 3 )
- The Hunted by Alan Jacobson (my dad LOVED this one, I loved the narration)
- Stolen Innocence by Elissa Wall (Non-Fiction that broke my heart)
- Passion Unleashed by Larissa Ione
On my wishlist:
- The Troubleshooter Series by Suzanne Brockman
- Lucky O’Toole Series by Deborah Coontz

This year Fantasy is More Fun & Because Reading are doing a Month of Giving Thanks giving you a chance to participate. You should take them up on the opportunity!
NOTE: This year I switched it up a bit for the first 12 days: I will highlight one book from 2014 that really stuck with me (each book scored a 4.75 or 5 from me), one narrator that landed on my must listen list, and one blogger that I am thankful for! For days 13 to 30 I will highlight either 2 bloggers and 1 narrator OR 2 narrators and 1 blogger. These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love. In fact this year in both the narrator and blogger categories I had way over 30 (Yet with books I only had 12 “new to me this year” reads that ranked above a 4.75). Narrowing narrators/bloggers down broke my heart so I am changing the format a bit! Hopefully, I can squeeze in everyone I want too!

I love when you do these posts because I add new names to my blogger list and titles on my TBR! I actually already “know” Berls – I “met” her via you! Yea!! And thanks to you, I”m also a huge Renee Raudman fan. I may have to try Burn for Me on audio!
OH it was delightful on audio! It took a bit for me to get “Mad Rogan” and his voice situated in my head (I read the book first which sometimes lends to me having an “idea” of what they sound like) but Renee really sold me on her take of him!
That’s a great idea and what a perfect month to do it.
I haven’t listened to anything narrated by Renee Raudman, but I know I have to change that.
Oh I think you need to put Renee on your to try list. She really has a great voice and she can nail even the male parts 🙂
Wow, 5 stars and read twice in a month? That is very high praise.
Hey, Berls!! =)
Yep! I just lurved it!
Renee Raudman is another of my favorite narrators.
Thank you!!!! I’m beaming! What a way to begin my “extra hour” in bed on Sunday Morning! I feel so lucky to be able to narrate the Ilona Andrews titles. What an honor it is to read such wildly creative, witty, and romantically intense books. They really are in a category of their own.
Wow, this really a great idea, this the first time i join this program 🙂
I do love this idea, and always have 🙂 Such a great idea
I totally agree! They all great to be thankful for 🙂
I want to read that one! I haven’t read this author yet and I have seen this one around and it looks great! 🙂
Awww so true about Berls, she’s great :D. Also great to know about the audio version of Burn for Me. I’ve read the first few pages and not got back to it which makes me sad, but maybe the audiobook will be the way to go instead!
All three are great!!
Both the book and blogger rock Felicia. I loved Burn For Me and now have audio in my collection too. Kimberly aka Berls is such a sweetie!
I love this idea, as Carol says – you have great ideas! I have been convinced to listen to Burn For Me by you and other bloggers. It seems a good place to begin to try Ilona Andrews books. It will be interesting with the Troubleshooters now that they are redoing this series on Audio.
Aww 🙂 I *heart* you too! Wow – 5 stars from you means A LOT and I think my jaw is still on the floor that you read it twice! It was already on my TBR, but I’ve bumped it up. I haven’t read Kate Daniels yet, though. I know they aren’t related series, but would you start with Kate or is this one better?
I love that you’re including narrators! I don’t think I know enough YET, but next year I’ll probably be all over that LOL
Both are great. You could start with Burn for Me to get a feel for the writing and narration. If you enjoy it, you will like Kate too. Kate’s world is more complex in some ways. Heavier world building.
One author I want to read but haven’t yet but I am hoping too one day and maybe I’ll do it in audio.
I adore Berls. I was so happy she came in contact with me about COYER because not only because we are cohosts but I found an amazing friend! She has just a big and wonderful heart! I *heart* her too 🙂
Such a great idea. Great choices too. I will finish Burn for Me on audio today while cleaning house.
You have such great ideas!
