She was very hungry, though she did not know it, and she was no longer the careless color of burnt toast but rather the color of flour getting everywhere. But her eyes were still clear and unwearied, and she still moved like a shadow on the sea.” – The Last Unicorn by Peter Beagle

” Yeah. But it’s like John Lennon writing with…. Taylor Swift instead of Paul MaCartney holding a Dr. Pepper.

“Get over yourself” Cath said, “You’re not half as pretty as Taylor Swift.”

Currently reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell Loving it so far.

  10. From one of my all time favourite books, Anne of Green Gables…..

β€œPita chips are not so scarce as I used to think. It’s splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world.”

  11. As posted on the goodreads blog:

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of nachos, it was the age of cheese, it was the epoch of beef and broccoli, it was the epoch of potatoe skins, it was the season of pumpkin pie, it was the season of apple crisp, it was the spring of popcorn, it was the winter of coffee, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, it was all going direct to the hips, it was all going direct the rear end – in short, the readathon was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

Even when Oilcan was young, he always knew his tiny cousin would eventually find something large enough to express her soul. He’d assumed that it take the form of a sixty foot tall robot that she could ride around in, smashing cars underfoot like Godzilla. It was somewhat of a relief that she settled on a collection of pies. She was better off with crust and filling that loved her than a thousand tons of quasi-intelligent metal. Still, it was a little bit startling to open the door to her β€œshave and haircut” knock and be face to face with pineapple cream first thing in the morning.
