First Thought when Finished: Dark Desires After Dusk was full of smexy with fantastic characters!

Overall Thoughts: I am really enjoying this series! I know I am late to the game and that these have sat on my kindle forever. However, I now get why people have sung the praises of the IAD series. Cade was a fantastic leading guy. He was hot, sexy, tortured, and just everything a girl could want in her HEA. However, it was Holly that really made me smile. She had spunk and was such a trooper. Plus their chemistry was off the charts. The story line was really good to. I like how all of these books weave together but each has a story that is unique to the couple. I know I am looking forward to seeing where all of this goes!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated By Robert Petkoff / Length: 10 hrs and 54 mins

Robert is quickly becoming one of my favorite male narrators. I love his voice and he delivers a story very smoothly. I totally approve!

Final Thoughts: Ready for the next one!

  1. Kresley Cole.. Now that is an author I need to try reading sometime πŸ™‚ Great review!! I love how you some everything up so efficiently with enough intrigue to make me want to add it to my list!

    • She tells good stories. They are not quite light but they aren’t super dark either. Plus Nix (side character) is worth it. I hope one day she gets a book πŸ™‚

  2. I wish I could listen to this kind of books, but sadly my inner twelve years old come to life during the sex scenes and I can’t stop giggling. Something a bit embarrassing, especially when I’m in public places.

  3. Lindsay @ The Literary Darling

maybe this is just what I need to get out of my dystopian rut!! Thanks for sharing this! Love those abs btw πŸ˜‰

  4. Isn’t it great that you are finally getting to and enjoying these series that have been languishing in your TBR? I am experiencing the same thing and so happy that I have taken a step back and am reading more of what want.

  5. Plus, how can you go wrong with all that title alliteration? You just can’t. I definitely enjoy this series — it’s like candy for my brain!

  6. I haven’t read/listened anything by Kresley Cole yet, and it seems to me like I am definitely missing out. I might start with her YA series first though, less installments to catch-up on, although I do love a good male narrator. Decisions, decisions!

  7. I love this series on audio. It’s on my short list of series I will only listen to because the narration is so good.

I hope it doesn’t take long to get the rest of the “older” books on audio. I’d love to get caught up this year.

    • Me too! I would like to have them all so that I can go from book to book through audio. I do think between kindle/audio I have them all but would prefer audio.

  8. Nice review Felicia, I have to admit, it has been a few years since I read this book and I can’t remember this couple at all. Time for a re-read?

  9. I’ve lost track of this series a bit Felicia, I need to get back to it! I read the first 3 in a row and then I skipped ahead to one more (I can’t remember which one), and then I got distracted by other series. Fail. Must go back to book 4 and work my way through, I agree Kresley writes really great characters:)

    • She writes the most fab characters. I think that is probably my favorite part. Plus, I love the characters that are coming up πŸ™‚ I am excited to start the next one! I need to get on that!

    • Robert is freaking amazing. I don’t know why but he can just pull of manly and yet his women are pretty good too πŸ™‚ I would highly recommend his narration!

  10. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series πŸ™‚ I loved these books when I read them, and it’s been a pleasure to re-visit on audio.
I love Robert Petkoff! I think he moves these books up a notch.
