Return to Lovett, Texas, the setting of Daisy’s Back in Town, in this smart and sexy new story from Rachel Gibson, the New York Times bestselling author of Rescue Me and the Seattle Chinooks books.
Lily Darlington’s been called crazy in her day-and, yeah, driving her car into her ex-husband’s living room probably wasn’t the smartest move ever made-but the louse deserved it. Now Lily is happily single, and she’s turned it all around. She knows she’s a good mom, a homeowner, and a businesswoman, all wrapped up in one good-looking package.
A package that police officer Tucker Matthews is dying to unwrap. This ex-military man sure doesn’t need another woman in his life. His last girlfriend left him with nothing but memories and a cat named Pinky! But living next door to Lily has been driving him nuts. He dreams about her long blonde hair and even longer legs. And maybe it’s time to go a little crazy . . . and fall in love.

First thought when finished: I think I would have liked it better had I read the whole series instead of just the novella.
Short Review for a short book: I am going to be honest and say that this novella just didn’t work for me. I didn’t realize it was part of a series (which I actually think I would love) so I missed the character development of Lily. I think if I had that I would have liked the novella more but there just wasn’t enough in there for me to make a character connection to her or Tucker.
I think if you are a fan of the series this novella will work for you. I was reading other people’s reviews that knew Lily from before and they loved it. Please take that into consideration. Now I am off to get more of these books because I really did like Rachel Gibson’s writing!
Final Thought: Don’t read Crazy on You as a stand alone but don’t skip it if you read the series!

Like your review. If your readers are into Contemporary Romance then check out http://www.spunkybean.com book review of Jill Shalvis’ Lucky in Love and the Lucky Harbor Series characters remind me of one of my favorite television shows, Gilmore Girls. It even has an inn and a diner, although in this case, it’s called the Eat Me Café. http://www.spunkybean.com/book-review-of-lucky-in-love-by-jill-shalvis/
Thanks for the warning, if I ever start reading this series, I won't read them out of order 🙂
Yep for me this was one time that you just had to read these in order!
This is why I try to always read series books in order, but sometimes, the fact that it's a series just slips by you. Happened to me once and since each book was about a different character it wasn't a big deal, but it still kind of bugged me. LOL
Especially with novellas (which I already kind of have a problem with anyway )! I can't help it I like full-blown knock your socks off love stories!
I always like to read books in order even if the Author states that are stand alone pieces. There is a lot you gleam about some of the characters that do flow from book to book and I enjoy having as much perspective as possible.
