This year I am balancing my life out a bit by including more TV, Movies, Gaming, and not just books. So I decided that I will review of some of the things I am watching (TV or Movies). I don’t have cable so all of these will come either through Netflix, Amazon Prime, Movie Theater, or Roku channels. Star Trek Beyond Where I watched: Theater Twice Rating: 4 out of 5 What can I say? I just loved this movie from beginning to end! It reminded me of old Star Trek episodes. It had all the elements I love: cool music, great action, one-liners galore, and BONES! Seriously Karl Urban kind of stole the movie! Scotty was a close second! I know some people didn’t like it but I don’t have any big complaints about this one at all. I will say that I was hoping for an “ode to Anton” during the credits but I did love the nod! Will I own it: YES Jason Bourne Where I watched: Theater Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Overall I thought this delivered what I have come expect out of this series: Great Action and Cool Locations. Bourne is still dealing with […]

So who else binge watched this over last weekend? If you haven’t, I am going to try and not put in spoilers. I LOVED season 1 so I had high expectations going in to this season. You know what they say about expectations right? Keep those f*ckers in check!
First Thought after the credits rolled on the last episode: The character growth for every single person but Matt was freaking awesome! Matt, on the other hand, was like a petulant “woe is me” straight out of an angsty drama whiny butt!

I did the same with Season 2! Let me tell you: If you like gritty cop dramas done right then you will love this show. I have read some of the books in the series by Micheal Connelly. I really enjoy and recommend them. However, this is one of the few times that I am going to say that TV Show actually adds to the stories. Most of the time I go into “Book to TV/Movie” adaptations with tempered expectations. In other words, I just hope they at least get one or two important things in the show. With Bosch, they just cast the sucker so darn well that the stories spring to life. Plus, I think these kind of adaptations (aka series TV) have a lot more room to get it right! […]

Show: Jessica Jones Channel: Netflix Watched: November 2015 # of Episodes: 13 Confession: I used to be a TV junkie until I gave up cable 4 years ago. I had loads and loads of shows that I would not miss. However, since giving up cable I have slowly moved to just watching TV in bulk. I don’t watch anything that is on cable anymore (I used to to try and keep up with Walking Dead/Grimm). I have fallen in love with binge watching series that are short in nature. I don’t even mind waiting for the next series since it gives me something to look forward too and I have kept my list to a minimum. Jessica Jones is one of those series that I fell in love with and glad I binge watched! Jessica Jones was one of those hit the ground running […]
Doesn’t this trailer give you ALL THE FEELS! I immediately picked up the audiobook and will buy Kleenex (as I have been warned) on the way home! About the Book: Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick. What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane. Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that. What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time.
