Audiobook Review: Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2) by Suzanne Wright

Audiobook Review: Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2) by Suzanne Wright

First Thought when Finished: These are some spectacularly smexy shifters! I haven’t blushed this much in a while.

Story Thoughts: I will admit I wasn’t prepared for the amount of smexy time that was in Wicked Cravings (I did not read the first book but I will) so that impacted me getting into the story. I also thought that the main relationship at times went over the line with permission levels not being clear.Continue Reading

Review: Headed for Trouble (Troubleshooters #16.5) by Suzanne Brockmann

NOTE: I haven’t read the Troubleshooters series but thought I would give this one a go anyway. I love romantic suspense and these are on my wishlist!

What this book made me want: To move those suckers up on my TBR pile. The women in this series are seriously kick ass! The men are tough men that make you want to get to know more about them.Continue Reading

Audiobook Review: The Stand by Stephen King #TBRTipping

Story Thoughts: OMG! This is exactly the kind of story that keeps me up at night! A Plague–it is possible!People with natural immunities? TOTALLY going to happen. How those people act, carry forward, recreate society, and react to each other is where the real story lies. How does one rise from the ashes of the world that they knew and thrive in the world that now is?Continue Reading

Audiobook Review: Dead Ever After (Sookie Stackhouse, #13) by Charlaine Harris #SeriouslySeries

First Thought When Finished: Thank you Bon Temps and Charlaine Harris for all the good times over the years! You will be missed!

NOTE: I realize I am probably in the minority but I actually like how the end scene worked. I thought it held very true to who Sookie Stackhouse was from the beginning. She never wanted to be owned, controlled, or a side character in her own life. Even half way through the series, she was repeating that mantra…..Continue Reading

Review: What Happens in Scotland by Jennifer McQuiston #BookClubRead

Review: What Happens in Scotland by Jennifer McQuiston #BookClubRead

First Thought When Finished: That was a laugh out loud romp that was super cute. The “love” was a little rushed for my taste but the characters were fantastic!

Story Thoughts: The humor of What Happens in Scotland kept me in stitches during the hijinks that were done by Lady Georgette Thorold. The story takes place over a 24 hour period which is a very short time. I am going to admit that this is probably what kept me from loving it. I am not a fan of insta-love but with humor that was done excellently, it was easy to forget the short time frame at times. My suggestion, just get lost in the hijinks and try to ignore the timeline.Continue Reading
