RT17 was a blast! First I have to thank my roomie Beth because she truly was the best! Second Mary and Melanie whom hung with me a lot this weekend and made the downtime really fun 🙂 Also thank you to the many, many friends I ran into and got to spend time (including but I am sure I won’t name them all): Joanna, Brandy, Lexxie, Denise, Joy, Heather, and all the ones I made new! I seriously had the most fun when surrounded by friends and good conversation. PS I did not take many photos so if you have one of us let me know–I would love to have a copy 🙂 Thank you to the authors that let us fangirl and act a little silly around. I didn’t take many of these photos because I mostly was so giddy to see them that I totally forgot cameras existed! Also thanks to the narrators that came and hung with me too 🙂 I was so excited to see and meet y’all—you won’t even know! What is coming up here from RT17: I will put together a page of resources about Audiobooks from my panel on Friday including […]
Howdy y’all! I went to my first ever BEA this year. It was crazy fun but I came home with tons of books. I was even picky in what I picked up but there were a ton of goodies there. Since it will probably take me all year to read them, I thought it would be fun to do a weekly spotlight on some of the books I picked up and why I did!

Since it will probably take me all year to read them, I thought it would be fun to do a weekly spotlight on some of the books I picked up and why I did! Book: How to be a Financial Grownup (Goodreads) Author: Bobbi Rebell Publisher/Source: Maven House Why I picked it up: 2017 is the year that I buckle down on my finances (hence the no cons that year) and really look at where I need to be in the next 20 years to retire. I turn 45 this December so I am getting to it late but better than never. This one I walked by, found the time they would give it away, and made sure I was there when that happened. Book: Unstuffed: Decluttering Your Home, Mind, & Soul (Goodreads) Author Ruth Soukup (My review of Living Well, Spending Less) Publisher/Source: Zondervan Why I picked it up: I liked Living Well, Spending Less so I requested […]

What I will be doing: Signing: Saturday March 5th, begins at noon and runs through 4 pm CST. Meet & Greet: Free event Saturday March 5th, 8 to 9 pm with authors at the Hyatt hotel bar featuring music from Griffin Peterson and band. Thursday, March 3rd 7:00-11:00 p.m. So y’all be good while I am gone! 🙂 🙂
Howdy Y’all! #RAGT15 Fun Fangirling happened this past weekend at Lori Foster’s Readers and Authors Get Together. I didn’t snap enough photos or take enough notes but I did have fun! There was lots of #FitReaders walking going on with my brilliant co-host Jenn from That’s What I’m Talking About, Liza, and Melanie. We got up every day and beat the pavement (well they did Saturday, I had some tooth problems that day). We even had a day that hit 20000 across the board for all of us! WOOT! It really was a good time spent with good friends and some really cool authors. This will be mostly pictures but here we go.. Final Thoughts The hotel staff was great as always (servers, front desk). As many of us that there are, they manage to pretty much stay on top of it. The food isn’t the greatest but it isn’t bad either. There are plenty of food choices around 🙂 The Authors were rock stars! While I admit I only talked to handful –they were fantastic! My fellow readers were my favorite part. Many conversations that only romance readers would understand were had. New friends made. Old friends seen. […]
