From Goodreads: Lisa Tawn Bergren’s new YA series, River of Time, is romantic, historical fiction in which the plucky heroine doesn’t have to fear a vampire’s bite but must still fight for her life. In Waterfall, American teenager Gabi Betarrini accidently finds herself in Fourteenth-Century Italy . . . Knights. Swords. Horses. Armor. And Italian hotties. Most American teens want an Italian vacation, but the Betarrini sisters have spent every summer of their lives there with their archaeologist parents. Stuck on yet another hot, dusty dig, they are bored out of their minds… until they place their hands atop handprints in an ancient tomb and find themselves catapulted into the Fourteenth Century and in the middle of a fierce battle between knights bent on killing one another. I am glad that I read it though and will be reading Cascade and Torrent. I honestly believe I will end up loving the series as a whole! What I Loved: The following […]

From Goodreads: Olivia Bishop is no fun. That’s what her ex-husband said. That’s what her smart bob and glasses imply. And with her trademark determination, Olivia sets out to remake her life. She’s going to spend time with her girlfriends and not throw it all away for some man. But when an outing with her book club leads her to a brewery taproom, the dark-haired beauty realizes that trouble – in the form of sexy Jamie Donovan – may be too tempting to avoid. Jamie Donovan doesn’t mean to be bad. Sure, the wild streak in his wicked green eyes has lured the ladies before. But it’s time to grow up. He’s even ready for a serious romance. But how can that be when Olivia, the only right woman he has ever met, already has him pegged as wrong. Requested on NetGalley by meOverall Rating 4.00Story Rating 4.00Character Rating 4.00Buy Your Own Copy Amazon Barnes & Noble Note: This is the second in the Donovan Brothers Brewery Series. I was thrilled to read Jaime’s story because he seemed the most interesting and damaged. Now, though, I can’t wait to read Eric’s story (which is next in Real Men Will). What […]

From Goodreads: Kenny Mancuso shot his childhood buddy Moogey Bues and then jumped bail. Now bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is on the case to track Kenny down. Then someone finished Moogey off, Kenny can’t be found, twenty-four coffins are missing, and there’s some ex-army heavy artillery roaming the streets. Bought for myselfOverall Rating 4.25Story Rating 4.25Character Rating 4.25Audio Rating 3.75Buy Your Own Copy Amazon NOTE: I am know I am one of the last people ever to start reading this series but better late than never right? It is as fun (so far) as people said. Stephanie Plum is one hot mess 🙂 Audio Review: C.J. Critt actually did a wonderful job with the narration. My problem was with the long pauses between chapters. I am guessing that it is because the book may have been recorded for cassette tape rendering. Quick Review: Since most people have read the Stephanie Plum series there isn’t much I can add about what a joy the stories are. In the 2nd book there still isn’t a whole lot of the choose Team Morelli or Team Ranger stuff. Right now I am Team Grandma Mazur—that woman is a hoot. Since most of this book […]

From Goodreads: A warrior, a demon, and the girl next door. . . Looking For Trouble Addy Corwin is a florist with an attitude. A bad attitude, or so her mama says, ’cause she’s not looking for a man. Mama’s wrong. Addy has looked. There’s just not much to choose from in Hannah, her small Alabama hometown. Until Brand Dalvahni shows up, a supernaturally sexy, breathtakingly well-built hunk of a warrior from—well, not from around here, that’s for sure. Mama thinks he might be European or maybe even a Yankee. Brand says he’s from another dimension. Addy couldn’t care less where he’s from. He’s gorgeous. Serious muscles. Disturbing green eyes. Brand really gets her going. Too bad he’s a whack job. Says he’s come to rescue her from a demon. Puh-lease. But right after Brand shows up, strange things start to happen. Dogs talk and reanimated corpses stalk the quiet streets of Hannah. Her mortal enemy Meredith, otherwise known as the Death Starr, breaks out in a severe and inexplicable case of butt boils. Addy might not know what’s going on, but she definitely wants a certain sexy demon hunter by her side when it all goes down. . . […]
