I love #BoutOfBooks! It is one of my favorite read-a-thons because you can pick and choose what your bookish goals are for a solid week. You can choose to socialize more about books, read more books, or a do a combo of both.
I have been under the weather for a week and my reading has suffered immensely. I have listened to quite a few books but my ability to concentrate on the written word has been minimal at best. I am hoping that by Monday I am ready to tackle some of the books that have been sitting on my shelf. I also have a major work project next week that will require some intense “blocking out the world” so I will have my headphones on all day, every day for the week. Basically all this rambling means that I will be concentrating on reading for this read-a-thon but I am hoping to do a few of the social activities also (we will just have to see how that plays out)!
So here are a few of the books that I have on my shelf I want to read(Mystery/Thriller Week): All of these books are either currently on my kindle or my shelf–no buying will be involved! (Operation TBR Overdrive)
Reading: (Goal 4 books)
Audiobook Choices (finish 2): (all of these were actually purchased previous to this year)
What are your goals?

I hope you feel better and get a lot of reading time in :D I’m sensing a theme to the TBR pile ;-) Have a great read a thon!
I hope you’re able to find time to read. Sounds like a busy week.
Here are my goals:

This is the first blog I’ve ever seen the Her Royal Spyness mystery series mentioned on, ever! Those series are so fun but don’t seem that popular. Good luck reading this week! I hope you meet your goals. I’m trying to finish 3 books but would love to exceed that.
The Yard and Hide Me Among the Graves looks particularity interesting. I will probably add those my TBR list.
I picked up a copy of Ice Cold Grave the other day at the used bookstore. I haven’t read it yet, even though I really want to. I need to find a copy of Grave Sight ASAP! I hear the Harper Connelly books are really good! :-)
I hope you feel better soon!
I meant I don’t want to read Ice Cold Grave until I have read Grave Sight and Grave Surprise. Just thought I should clarify, lol.
I’m so glad there is another person with a larger amount of books. I want to really get a lot read this week!! I hope you’re feeling better and good luck with your goal :)
Audiobooks are a good idea. I’ve never listened to one before even though a free one came with my mp3; might have to give that a shot this week. Good luck getting through your TBR pile!
Good luck with your goals and have fun!
Good luck on your goals! I wish I could do like your pile =3.
The Yard looks really good. I may have to read that. I love Rhys Bowen’s Molly Murphy series (I have read a couple of them) but I have not started Her Royal Spyness. Enjoy your books!

I don’t read many thrillers…I kind of avoid them I think. Anyways, I have read Grave Sight though! Have you heard it’s going to be a tv series?!?! Good luck next week!
Great choices. I have The Yard on my tbr list as well, I’m really curious about it.
Feel better soon and good luck! :D
I hope you feel better and good luck with your goals!
good luck :D!
Oh i LOVE audiobooks!! Good idea for a read-a-thon =D GOOD LUCK!!
That’s quite a list! I hope you’re feeling better soon!
I’m participating too. Good luck! :)
It’s my first time participating in the challenge and I’m looking forward to it :) its a great idea. Great books. Happy reading and good luck with your goal :)
Those all look like intriguing, fun reads!
Great list, and I haven’t read any of them….
Good luck with your goals and I hope you feel better. ;)
I’ve heard a rumor that #boutofbooks loves you, too! =)
Good luck on getting back into the swing of things!
Awwww #boutofbooks loves me, it really loves me!
*dramatic hand to forehead*
It’s been awhile that I joined a read-athon. I think I’ll hop in this one with you :D
This one is fun because it is perfect to wiggle in with other things LOL :)
Good luck at work Felicia, and I am glad you are feeling better again. None of your books are on my wishlist, but I do hope to read some more cozy mysteries, and some old ones which have been gathering dust on my shelves for over a year. But most important, I have to read some authors I am going to meet in Berlin on June 2/3!
I am clearing out some of these harder core mysteries so that for summer I can read cozies :)
I am so excited for you for JUNE!
I’m sorry you’re feelin’ crappy! I just got over the flu myself and I couldn’t focus my eyes to read and I thought, “what a waste of laying around and doing nothing!!!!” I sure hope you feel a bit better and can concentrate at work. Emergen-C stat? Have a great read-a-thon!!! I’ll be following!!
The Flu is much worse than what I had—UGH! Hopefully it is gone and you are right such a waste of laying around time LOL I like my lazy time to be with a book and when I choose :)
My sinus infection is better — it is just that time of year :(
Hum. Maybe I should sign up for this one! After all, I have jury duty next week and will need to occupy my time until they let me go (please let me go!). Some interesting-looking books on your TBR. Nice!
Oh that would be perfect for Jury Duty! Wear a pink tiara and see if they choose you? I am thinking they might let you go LOL
I got the first Jefferson Bass book from the library and thought it was okay, but never kept going with the series. Have you read them all? Do they get better?
I haven’t read him before but it looked interesting. I hate reading romances out of order but for some reason Mystery/Thrillers don’t bug me so much!
You going to play “Thriller” when you read these? ;)
Have a thrilling read! :D
YEP!
I am going to pull my best 13 going on 30 Thriller dance!
Ooo quite a sinister week of reading! I’ll have to post my goals at the weekend as I’ll change my mind before next week. I’m just hoping not to suffer from the curse of the readathon!
*sending non-curse read-a-thon vibes*
I am hoping I sleep next week with all the killers running around in my head LOL
Ooh, a themed BoB! Very cool!! I don’t even know what I’ll be reading yet, lol. GO, Felicia!
I am just in the mood to get my thriller on :) Of course you watch and next week I will be reading a romance out of the blue—I always do that (best laid plans and all)
Ahh feel better…I had strep a couple of weeks ago and it sucked big time. I feel for ya! This looks like a lot of fun. Lots of thrillers. Excited to see which ones wow you! Hugs, Do you want me to look through my soup recipes and shoot some to you?
Yes please (on the soup recipes)!
I am starting to feel better but it is exhausting LOL This whole having to work when I would like to sleep thing is annoying :)
Great! Now I have that Thriller song stuck in my head! :P
Good luck!
Thriller—Thriller night!
Dance….
The Funk of 40000 Years…
Good luck!
I hope you will feel better soon
Thank you so much! :) :)
I’m not super familiar with any of those other than Grave Sight. That’s the Harper Connolly series right? I really enjoyed all 4 of those books! Can’t wait to see what you get read Felicia!
Yep! I have always wanted to read them (Harper Connolly) but haven’t gotten around to them. It will definitely be one of the two :)
Hope you feel better!
Good luck with your goals too :) Looks like you have some good ones there
Thank you so much!
Oh! This reminds me that we should plan a mystery/thriller event some time. Probably later this summer, though.
Good luck with your goals, and I hope that you’re at 100% next week! (or, you know, this week is good too)
Oh yes we do! I think late summer will be perfect!
I am hoping for 80% at least LOL If the universe gives me that I will be ecstatic!
All these books are new to me. I can’t wait to see what u think. It is going to be Smut Week for me.
