Hi Y’all! Â It is Day 2 of BoutofBooks and yesterday was good to me!
Challenges: (Day 1)
From Auggie Talk: Who is your literary BFF? Â I think mine would have to be Sarah Dearly from Blood Bath & Beyond by Michelle Rowen. Â I thk I could totally hang out with her :)
From Reading in Texas: What do you do with books when you finish them? Â My paperbooks I usually pass on to someone else so they can read them too! Â I need to get August’s RIPI up before the month is over LOL
Challenges: (Day 2)
From Curiosity Killed the Bookworm: Write a bookish limerick! Â (I am going to suck at this and I have a Kindle *shrug*)
There once was a book
That had a huge hook
When I got to the end
I wanted to hit send
To everyone on my Nook
From Grammarian’s Reviews: Relocate your current characters in the books that you are reading!  I just finished two books that were both contemporary and could have taken place almost anywhere.  I will say change the setting on Beautiful Disasters to somewhere with more strict rules on appearance (such as omish) where you can’t outwardly tell a bad boy and it would have been a bit more edgy.
From Once Upon a Time: Take two characters from two books and have them interact! Â I suck at writing so I am going to skip this challenge but I will be reading other people’s responses!
UPDATES:
Finished: (1 planned, 1 spur of the moment)
- Blood Bath & Beyond by Michelle Rowan: 4.50 (Review coming for Profiling Mysteries)
- (Audiobook)Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire: 2.75 (Review coming this week) I think my problem was with the audio and the experience would have been different in paper form.
Starting today:
- (Audiobook) Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison
- (Paperbook) White Hot by Nina Bruhns

Great progress! I need to finish Beautiful Disaster, but I don’t think it will be this week. Happy reading!
It is an intense story! :)
Thanks for playing my challenge today! There’s not that many words that rhyme with Kindle are they? Swindle…um yeah!
I tried but just couldn’t make a limerick happen with Kindle LOL :)
I am excited to see you starting the Hollows! Great series!
I am excited to be reading it :) I am on Chapter 8–they moved into the church!
Ummmm. I think I want to read White Hot right along with you. *pets cover* Also, I’m super curious about your review of Beautiful Disaster, that one is getting such varied reactions so it’s fun to read all the reviews!
I know the cover for White Hot is HAWT! :) :)
Beautiful Disaster–I listened on audio and the girl sounded 15. I think it skewed the whole book for me :(
White Hot looks kind of HOT. The Hollows are great on audio, because they take me too long to read.
I am enjoying Dead Witch Walking so far. The girl who is reading it sounds a bit like Wendy Malick (???) the girl off of Hot in Cleveland (the tall one).
YAY! YOU ARE ENJOYING IT!!! Weeeeee!
I love your limerick!! Cute. :-)
hehe I am so not a poet :)
I haven’t written a limerick since 6th grade!
Ooh, read on! The Michelle Rowen one sounds hilarious (love the title).
The Michelle Rowen one was so much fun!
