revoew Books Read but not Reviewed in November: Iced by Karen Marie Moning, The Last to Know by Wendy Corsi Staub, and Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet by Darynda Jones

These are 3 more books that I finished in November but they did not get the full review treatment. Two of these rated a 5 from me so it has nothing to do with the quality of the book. I just wanted to share them with y’all and give them a little love!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Read for Review (Brilliance Audio)
Overall Rating: 5.00
Story Rating: 5.00
Character Rating: 5.00

Audio Rating: 5.00 (This is a series that HIGHLY recommend on Audio)

Overall: I gave the Book a 5 but there were elements that were hard to accept and things that made me want to scream. KMM though did another excellent job of keeping glued to the book and making me start the countdown to the next one!

“One day, kid, you’ll be willing to mortage your fucking soul for somebody.”
Karen Marie Moning, Iced

“Just one time before I turn into the villain of this piece, just one time before I become the fourth and final Unseelie prince, I want to be her Highlander. And her hero.”
Karen Marie Moning, Iced

“Procrastinating is number three on my Stupid List. You still end up exactly where you didn’t want to be, doing exactly what you didn’t want to do, withe the only difference being that you lost all that time in between, during which you could have been doing something fun. Even worse, you probably stayed in a stressed-out, crappy mood the whole time you were avoiding it. If you know something is inevitable, do it and get it over with. Move on. Life is short.”

Read for Review (Edelweiss)
Overall Rating: 4.00
Story Rating: 3.75
Character Rating: 4.25

Quick Thoughts: The Last To Know was strong on character and intrigue! I dare you to try and figure it out before the end. If you want a good Wendy Corsi Staub book this is one that I highly recommend.

No Quotes because I don’t want to give anything away. This was a twisty, turny type of book that will keep you guessing!

Audio Thoughts:  Seriously this is another series that I highly recommend on audio.  You will laugh out loud and  Lorelei King will become one of your favorite narrators!

Her favorite genres: Cozy Mysteries, Thrillers, Romance of all kinds, Zombies, Urban Fantasy, and the occasional Historical Fiction. In her non-reading time you can find her hanging with her rescue furr children named after book characters: Tonks a beautiful Lab/Pyr mix (Farm Rescue), Lizzie a beautiful cattle dog mix (Pound Pup), and Cinder a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Pound Pup). 1. I love the Charley Davidson series. I can’t wait to listen to the fourth book. You are right about the narrator for that series.

I started listening to Iced over the weekend. I’m having a hard time getting used to the narrator for that series, but I have to know what happens!!

I may need to start these mini-reviews. I’m heading for a reviewing slump, and I need to think of something different to speed them up. Hmm…

Okay. You suck. No, not really. But now I’m *really* going to have to get ICED and FOURTH GRAVE BENEATH MY FEET. *sigh* MORE FABULOUSITY TO READ!!

  7. OMG the quotes on the last one are too funny. Especially the banana one :)

I had a couple of those same quotes on my Fourth Grave review…i.e. the banana one and the one about her sister wearing her sweat pants cracked me up. I really like the cover you have displayed vs. the green one. Anyway I agree this is one of my fav series. I am dying to read Iced. Hoping to squeak it in over the holidays while my blog is on break!

Ahhhhhh ICED!!!! We have to talk about it Felicia. SO GOOD! I have so many theories and things I want to know and want to happen. I’m rooting for Ryodan. I love him, a-hole that he is. It will be interesting to see what happens moving forward and how much older Dani’s going to get as the series progresses.

  10. Iced! You have no idea how behind I am on the Fever series. Review books just got in the way. However, I’m still drooling over getting this book. :)

Oh and #4 Charlie!! YES! Love this series. Whole series is snort club material!
