I need to seriously start doing this – I’m trying to be more responsible and aware with my book purchases. Maybe this would make me. I love that you give so much to charity too – incredible! Looking forward to all the reviews (hopefully I’ll get caught up soon and won’t be weeks behind)!
I’m impressed. I need to exhibit more control when it comes to my Kindle. Hitting that purchase button is so easy, so fast, so consequence free… 🙂
Wow you got some great books this month! I am definitely looking forward to your reviews 🙂
I did! I gave away some great books too and that made me want more LOL
Eh… book events and charity don’t count, right? 🙂 Looks like you did great!
The last two don’t but dang it that top part was $8 over 🙂 I can chalk it up to bad accounting LOL
Yeah I’m skipping books cons in 2014 since I went to two (RT & AAD) this year leaving the hubby and kiddo at home. We are going on a family vacation in 2014.
I hope y’all get to go somewhere super cool. I kept going back and forth on RT since it is so close but really the only thing I would save on is airfare. I am just going to save money and look at next years. I have 1 that happens in my back yard so it isn’t like I won’t have things to go to.
Hubby has picked Houston, TX has our vacation spot. We wanted to go somewhere within driving distance that neither of us has been to and there is tons of family type stuff to do there.
Houston is very fun 🙂 There is lots to do down there and you should take a few minutes while there to visit Murder by the Book. It is a cute little independent book store. Lots of great places to eat and see!
I was brave, if I count till the 25th, when my salary gets here. Otherwise. I bought about 70 secondhand books, a little under 200 euro’s. Nothing from Bookdepo, so that is very well done for me. Of course, I spend a lot on the house in the past two months, so no book budget, but I can’t say no to a booksale if I will buy those books anyway and at much more later.
I blew my house budget LOL I have spent more than I planned this last month. I am hoping to get gift cards for Christmas so that I can get some more flooring and such!
Oo, where do you get review audiobooks through?
Even though you went over it wasn’t that bad. I can in at $0 again. I think that 3 months in a row. YAY It’s a warm up for my 2014 challenge of spending no $ all year long. Eep.
I am going for something similar next year. I am giving myself $100 period for books. I can use points and gift cards for books but that is it. I will be on a huge budget for next year. I am not traveling until November of next year. I had to nix RT until I know how I am going to balance everything 🙂
Are you going to RT next year?
I am not 🙁 It just isn’t in my budget.
