I have some Harry Potter Hardcovers that have pages falling out (yes they are that well read) so I would like to recycle the covers, insides, and even jackets. So I am trying to decide what do with them. Here are a few things I am thinking….

Book Purse with the Outside

Book Coasters from the Inside

Decorate Wine Bottles

Something to do with the jackets..

I have also thought about Quote boards, ornaments, and jewelry! So what have you done with your falling apart and well-loved books? Let me know!

These books just hold a LOT of great reading memories and would like to preserve them in a way that will put all of it to use. I have new hardcover copies so I have some room to play πŸ™‚

  1. First of all, I feel like crying for your HP Books! Then again, upcycling them is better than throwing them out.

The coasters are so cool, I don’t think I can pull off the purse, I’m not hip enough lol

  2. Those are some amazing ideas for old books. I love the book coaster idea because I know they would get a lot of use!!

  3. OMG, they are falling apart?! I’m still trying to comprehend this. Anyway, I think the pages would look good on the wine bottles, but IMO I like the coffee table idea for the covers. I’m a big cover display person. Have fun with this!

  4. I don’t really reread so all my books still look pretty and the thought of doing something like that to a book just makes me cringe…lol. I do like the purse and coffee table ideas. πŸ™‚
