Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in Jan 17, 2014

I’m so going to do some dancing, I can trick myself into thinking it’s just fun not exercise lol. You are doing great!! I walked 6 out of 7 days so was happy with that but I’m getting bored?? … heading to that dreaded week 4 lol
Great job Felicia!
I think you guys are doing a fantastic job! I found a few Leslie Sansone videos on YouTube and I’ve started doing a bit of walking. It is definitely a change of pace from cycling.
What a great idea! I love that you are encouraging others to be active…it’s so important to stay healthy! I take spin classes at the gym and it’s so addicting. Now if I can just quit eating so much….lol
You’re doing great! I love dancing for a workout too! It’s super fun and can be a pretty good workout!
Way to go with the walking/dancing. Glad you’ve made this a long term challenge. I didn’t sign up officially but I did ride our stationery bike for 25-30 minutes 4 days this week. Small victory for me (and the scale isn’t budging for me either).
Nice going for the week, similar to myself. Just love the thought of us all working it, even if we are in different parts of the world. Global exercise!
Losing weight is nice, I think I would have to do more to lose though. I just need a few kilos. But just happy if I am keeping myself healthier.
Scale won’t move when you build muscle! π
Dancing? Oh what kind of dancing?
Keep up the great work!
Did good this week, with 30 min walks as I am back to work
Check… I have walked at least thirty minutes every day this week with my kids. We are headed out to the park in a bit to get in today’s walk!
I think my twitter flailing speaks for itself π Now let’s see if I can manage to work out enough next week too >.>
You are doing great!
Great job this week! Here’s my update:
1/11: 45-min walk
1/12: 30-min walk
1/13: Rest
1/14: 30-min walk
1/15: 20-min walk
1/16: 30-min walk
1/17: Rest
It’s supposed to be warm-ish here this weekend, so I’m looking forward to getting outside to walk.
I was a bad walker. I wasn’t active until Thursday. I went to the gym (finally) and walked on the treadmill for 45 min. Got in almost 2.4 miles! Woo hoo!! I start working with my trainer on Saturday. I’m ready to get in a groove!
I’ll be combining my #bookblogwalkers check-in posts with my Ranting & Rambling posts.
Great work everyone!
Yea!! This has been such an inspiration for me when nothing else was getting through to me. I made my goal every day for the past week – moved at least ten minutes for all 7 days and tracked all of my food – even last Saturday when we went out and I was over 2000 calories ABOVE my “daily intake.” π Thank you so much for your support!
Love your dance parties!!! I bought Louis Van Amstel’s La Blast dvds a while ago and never even opened them – maybe I should start doing them once a week! He was one of the pros from Dancing with the Stars.
I love that my clothes are fitting better, too!
Have a great weekend and thanks again for organizing this!!!
I love my little Dance Parties though they aren’t to any tapes yet–just me and my dance mix LOL π The dogs think I am a tad crazy though!
YEAH on the clothes–isn’t that the best thing. I don’t care about the pounds (Ok I do a little) but the clothes are the biggy!
You have a great weekend too!
I should really sign-up for this. I keep telling myself that I need to get in shape for my wedding in 5 months but I’m still twiddling my thumbs. I’m sure my dog would appreciate it too if I joined this challenge. It’s monthly though, right? So I can stall for another two weeks? LOL Look at me already trying to find excuses…
Nope! You can sign up anytime π So no slacking for the next two weeks! LOL My dogs are loving that I am doing this. They get daily “check out the neighborhood” walks and get to drive mom insane. They consider it a win-win.
Good job! Keep up the moving.
You too! We can do this right? π π
What were you dancing too? Just music or were you following something?
Just music! I have a 45 min dance mix and I just get up, dance, and drive the dogs NUTS! It helps me when I am in a grouchy mood π
I haven’t had a very productive week in terms of walking. I did do a lot of snow shoveling, though π
Since it warmed up a bit, I was finally able to get back out to the barn and go riding three days last week. Yay!
Snow Shoveling is a work out. I did that for a friend of mine while on vacation a few years ago (don’t ask I am weird and like to travel to cold locations)–that was the biggest upper body workout–EVER! Totally counts π
YEAH! I bet the horses will be super happy π
