Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in Oct 24 2014

Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time 🙂

This week I have completed 2 weeks of T25. I stuck with it even though the first week I gained 3 lbs and couldn’t really move during the day. I read up on new extreme work out routines and found out that it was pretty standard to gain first week because of muscle tearing (evidently you maintain a lot of water buildup around them). This week though I have dropped 5lbs so far (my official weigh in and stats day is tomorrow: Staturday) so it is starting to show. My clothes fit better. I am a size 14 but I will admit I was stuffing myself into my clothes a few weeks ago (I once had a doctor tell me to never buy bigger clothes–the best way to fight your weight gain is to refuse to go up). I grabbed my 12 jeans this morning just to test and I’m almost in them (I could button them but they were uncomfortable). My 14s are fitting like a champ! That is the best feeling in the world!  I am excited to see if I lost inches tomorrow and I am glad I finally took them 🙂

So how are y’all doing this week?

  1. That is great news! Don’t worry about the scale, but focus on how the clothes are better fitting! It’s such a great feeling. As you know, I’m wearing fall/winter clothes that I haven’t been able to in 3 years! It feels wonderful! Yea!!

  2. Congratulations!! I’m kinda at that point where I either have to lose weight or go up a size. I’m trying hard to do the former!! I can’t afford a new wardrobe, lol.

  3. You are such a rockstar!!! Way to go for sticking with that program! I had an awful week, too…work is insane right now, with really long days at the computer and I’m just way too tired and drained to do anything else.

One more week of hell at work and then hopefully I can get back to my regular exercise routine. I think I need to find something new to add to my routine to jazz things up!

    So psyched for you!!!

  4. Yay for almost fitting in those pants.
I am wondering about my own weight, I look a bit thinner in one area, I weigh more. Gods forbid, have I actually managed to get a bit of muscles there?

  5. That is great news! Congratulations! I was terrible last week. I was so tired from having a busy weekend that I ended up going to bed early some nights. Seeing how hard you are working is motivating me more. Thanks for being a great example! Have a great week!

  6. Great job. Glad your clothes are starting to fit better.

I’m back to counting calories. I don’t like doing it because I will see that I still have 200 calories available and will eat them, even if I’m not hungry. But I think I’m eating too much, because even with the steps staying pretty high, I’m gaining weight. So, time to dial myself back in. I still fit into most of my jeans. Some are just more comfortable than others. I have a few I can’t fit into. That is my goal, to get back into those.
