Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in March 28 2014

Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time πŸ™‚

This week I hit my goal! I wanted to average 5000 steps over 6 days (I always take Sunday off) and went over by 2226 steps! WOOT!

Someone asked last week if I wear my fitbit all day and the answer is yes! I take it off the second I look at it and realize that I have hit my goal for the day (sometimes that is right after and sometimes it is a little later). My goal is make active part of my life all day. Even with just 5000 steps that required a set time for exercising. I will be moving up to 6000 steps a day on April 1rst and that will require me getting more active. I can’t wait!

  1. Excellent job!! I just noticed that the LoseIt! app on my phone has added a pedometer. Not sure how accurate it is, but I’m going to test it out this week and try and keep my phone on me.

I had a decent week. But I overate a LOT. I just didn’t care what I ate, and that’s never a good sign. I also missed my “movement with purpose” for the first time since Jan. 6. I just got so busy on Friday, I completely forgot until Saturday morning. Oh well… I will keep on moving! Thanks!!

    • That would be an awesome tool to have. I have a few of those apps and always forget to turn them on LOL

Chin up! I think you are doing great! One day in 3 months is amazing and you are a true inspiration πŸ™‚

  2. YAY Congrats on reaching your goal!! I love my fitbit, great for keeping you accountable. I’ve gradually upped my daily step goal to 8000 but I’ve struggled keeping to it the last couple of weeks.

    • Thanks! I do love my fitbit even though my dog ate me new one so I had to revert to my old one LOL

I hope to get to 8000 in a couple of months!

  3. Wow, you had a great week!! I wear a fitbit too and I push myself to get close to 5000 steps. I wear it everyday (it’s always next to my watch and wedding ring, so I automatically put it on). Great job and hope you have a great week!!

    • 3000 was Jan, 4000 was Feb, 5000 was March for me. I fully believe in working up to more steps. Good luck!!!!!!! I put my fitbit on the second I switch to work or “out and about” clothes! It took awhile to make it a habit putting it on.

  4. I did great today, proud πŸ™‚ But I can’t remember Wednesday, arghh, annoys me, I remember walking one day through the woods way too late..Wed?

  5. Hmm I don’t have a fitbit, I just use my iPod when I exercise. Would be interesting at some point to track my movement for the whole day. Congrats on your great week.

  6. I wear my fitbit all day long – it really helps me keep moving, although some days I’m much more active than others! But, now that Spring is starting to make it’s appearance here in the Northeast, hopefully I’ll be taking longer walks with the dogs!

    Have a great week!!!

  7. I hurt my back last week, so I’m not even going to bother adding my name to the linky because I didn’t get out at all. URGH My wedding’s only 3 months away, I seriously need to kick myself in the ass, and get a move-on already! But, the melt is about to begin, and getting sprayed by cards is no fun. I need a freaking treadmill.

    • πŸ™ Ugh on the hurt back! I can’t believe you will be a Mrs. in just 3 months. We need have a virtual bridal shower for you πŸ™‚
