Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in June 20 2014

Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time πŸ™‚

This week I spent an hour or more doing hardcore house/yard chores! I swear this is the best workout I have had in a long time. I am sore every dang night but keep working through it. I also started menu planning, so I am going into phase 2 of my #getbalanced lifestyle change. I am still not dieting but I am totally working on developing an eating cleaner plan!

  1. What a work out!! I find gardening harder than walking so I can imagine how sore you must be. Good on you for working through it and with the clean eating too. I get a lot of clean eating recipes off pinterest … I’m so addicted lol. I had my best week of exercise in a while πŸ™‚

  2. Love all the work you are doing about your house. It is inspiring. This past weekend we finally finished up the long overdue yard projects – so that is good for the summer, other than maintenance. Now I’m preparing for a two week vacation – hoping to keep up with my good habits!

  3. Love your salad in a jar kits…how are they? I should totally do that!!! Then I would have my lunches all set for the week and not be tempted to go out for lunch every day!

  4. I’m feeling much better. Now I just need to make myself get back on that treadmill. Work and other stuff has prevented me from doing more. I vow, here and now, I will get on it today and tomorrow. Shame me if I don’t. πŸ™‚

  5. Sounds great. Love the healthy eating organisation. I had a good week, got in 5 days of walking so am very happy with that. When I feel reluctant, I think of all the others doing this challenge and it helps me face out to do the next walk!

  6. I didn’t sign up for this month but this past week I killed it. DH and I went to Vegas and Sunday – Tuesday we walked and average of 5 miles and burned over 700 calories each day. And we only ate two meals a day because of the time difference and heat. LOL

    Now if I can keep that going now that I’m back home. Don’t know that I can hit 5 miles each day but I’m going to aim for 3 miles a day or a workout class. Which ever I can squeeze in after work each day.

    Oh our daily step count was over 15k. We were tired!

  7. I’m so in on eating more balanced. I won’t go so far as to say diet yet. I’ll be trying mason jar salads next week. I also am going to try and it out some of the soda I drink. I’m stressing try because I am addicted to it and that isn’t an exaggeration.

    I really need to get over my aversion to exercise and find something that works for me. I suppose I could start walking to the library from home. There’s incentive there!
