Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in Jan 10, 2014

Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time 🙂

This week I only took off my rest day!

  • Fri: 45 min leash training with dogs
  • Sat: 30 min with Leslie Sansone
  • Sun: Rest Day
  • Mon: 30 min with Leslie Sansone
  • Tues: 30 min with the dogs
  • Wed: 30 min with Jane Fonda
  • Thurs: 30 min with the dogs

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I have decided to do the #bookblogwalkers challenge every month in 2014. That means every month everyone who participates is thrown into a hat and will have a chance to win a $10 book of their choice!  So with that here is the new button:

  2. Yeah! So glad you are doing this for the year. I have to do a post on my progress soon. I got my co-worker walking me after lunch. This week we are going to do one before lunch as well since we are getting faster. Thanks for hosting this.

  3. I have done really well this week!! I plan on doing an end of month post of what I did in January on my blog. Today I did some Yoga from a DVD/book I got for Christmas. Boy did it hurt more then I thought it would!!

  4. I started on Monday – and I’m 5 for 5 this week… I met both of my goals. I “moved” at least 10 minutes each day and recorded all that I ate.

  5. Oh thanks for the button! I love it. For some reason, I did think this was for the year. So, I’m glad and thanks for the support and motivation. I finished watching Fringe and I just started season 6 of Dexter. I only let myself watch on the treadmill.

  6. I’m so thrilled you’ve decided to do this all year! I find it so encouraging to have a group of people that I ‘m working with – even if it is from a distance! And having a prize to motivate me doesn’t hurt either! Good luck next week 🙂

  7. I walked for 30 minutes on Monday with my kids in the park, Tuesday through Thursday 40 minutes on my treadmill, I don’t think I will get it done today as I have a dang headache 🙁 Hoping after this nasty storm this weekend we will be able to get out next week and walk outside.

  8. Woooooot! So excited about that announcement 😀 I could really use this throughout the year to poke me a bit, haha. Let’s see, this week was a bit of a fail since we had two snow/cold days during which I didn’t leave my house >.> But then I had weightlifting on Wednesday for an hour! Aaaaand, I parked far away and walked into work on Thursday, yey. I’m going to try to get the boy to go for another walk or two this weekend since it’s supposed to be warm out finally, yey!

  9. Love that you are going to do it for the year. An excellent book challenge! The best! I like that we all do it at our own levels of fitness, yet there is a togetherness.
