Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in

Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time πŸ™‚

Weekly Check-in April 4 2014: This week I hit goal every day! I even put in a little extra on #NationalWalkingDay (April 2nd). My goal till end of March was 5000 steps a day. My goal starting April 1rst is 6000 steps a day. I do have to get up and be more active during the day with this goal. I have a desk job so it is a case of setting reminders to go run down the stairs every hour (7 flights). I am so glad that I take Sunday’s off from counting but this week I can guarentee I got 6000 steps in on Sunday. I went to Sams (it is a huge warehouse type store) and everything I wanted was in the back LOL

    I missed Friday – but managed to get in 25-30 minutes on average the other 6 days. Life is getting a bit hectic, so I need to make sure I keep it up!

  2. Woot! You’re doing great! I checked out the races your doing and I might be able to join you in July – I will probably be out of town for the one you’re doing in May. I might even do the half-marathon, since you said it’s okay to walk. πŸ™‚

  3. Way to go Felicia!!! I’m back to my regular walking routine and back to hitting 10,000 steps each day! I definitely feel better when I get all those steps in!!!

  4. Friday 3/28 – 2,917 steps
    Saturday 3/29 – 7,593 steps
    Sunday 3/30 – 1,785 steps
    Monday 3/31 – 13,021 steps
    Tuesday 4/1 – 10,628 steps
    Wednsday 4/2 – 13,939 steps (National Walking Day)
    Thursday 4/3 – 4,855 steps headache πŸ™

    My plan is to be better in April than I was in March (more like my February numbers). Once the weather gets better, I’ll do less walking an more riding my horse for movement. It uses many more muscle groups and is way more fun. πŸ™‚

  5. Wow! You had an awesome week walking-wise. Congrats! I did pretty good as well; the new month and nice weather definitely helped in that area. Although, cleaning the mud of the dogs after each walk is a little less fun. I’m hoping my momentum continues… less than 3 months to my wedding. egads!
