Book Blog Walkers Unite! Book Blog Walkers is BACK
Alright! Here we go again. I am going to get a little fitness orientated for the month of January 2014. I thought it would be super cool if we could get a group together to keep each other on track again! Let’s start Jan with one small goal that could build a good foundation for the rest of the year.
- For the month of Jan 2014 I will be following the hashtag #bookblogwalkers on both Facebook and Twitter! If you decide to play along then just use that hashtag!
- Every Sunday in Jan I will be doing a shout out to all the blogs that participated (even if you do one day–you deserve to be recognized) on Twitter. Figure it will be fun to see who is getting their walk on!
- At the end of the month, I will put all the participants names in a hat and giveaway a book of your choice from Amazon/Book Depository up to a $10 value.
So what do you think? Can you commit to 30 min a day for 31 days? Can you commit to walking even one day? Remember this is just about getting up and moving. Even if you are just strolling around the park for 30 min, it totally counts. I am really looking forward to getting my heart a little healthier!

Hi, I hope it’s not to late to jump in on the fun. I so need something to motivate me and I found this by looking at some blogs on bloglovin. π I have a really bad knee and need to lose lots of weight..hopefully walking will help me out a bit. π

How has everyone been doing so far? on Sunday I am posting my end of week 1 post. pictures, commentary, maybe even a video! lolz
My 2 puppsters are enjoying 30minutes per day, except for the few days of snow, freezing rain, below zero temps, etc.
I gotta say with all honesty my 1st week has been kind of a dud.
Not a dud! Just think of it this way–you got in steps you wouldn’t have otherwise! I will have a post on Friday where everyone can check in π My dogs are loving the daily walks!
I’m a little behind but I started at the Y this morning. I walked two miles in 55 minutes. I’m going from completely sedentary to active so I need to take it slow. π Thanks for hosting this challenge!
WOOT WOOT! So glad to have you aboard π π Slow is perfectly good. Every step counts that is what I tell my running friends when they are a little uppity about my walking LOL
I’m signing up late, but totally in. Need to get some weight off before RAGT and get healthy. Plush have my first 5k of the year in February.
YEAH!!!! I am still on the fence about RAGT this year (hope to will depend on work) but yeah for the 5k π
Signing up late, didn’t know about this before! Where I am is under severe bad weather, so walking might not be possible for a while, luckily, there’s DVDs and a living room floor. Huzzah!

Okay… I’ve signed up. My goals are to move each day for 10 minutes (I have an elliptical at home, so that will be my “go to” exercise). And to track what I eat each day. Thank you Felicia for your encouragement!

I saw the hashtag on Instagram today & am stoked I found the post! I walk my doggies, but not 30 minutes each time. I want to do a 30inute walk for us. Itll be good for all 3 of us. plus a great excuse for a new audiobook!!

I am so glad you joined! My dogs are getting more walks out of this too. We are working on leash training so it ends up being an upper body workout too LOL
Yay! I’m so thrilled you’re doing this again and perfect timing! I’ve been really out of it lately with the move and my elliptical breaking (boo!) so I need a swift kick to get back on track. Yay!
I am actually going to be doing it all year since I am training for a marathon (walking). I am pretty sure activity will fall off but I am in it for the long haul π

Okay, I’m going to do this. I can use the time to not only feel better, but for plotting or listening to my audio book. I’m signing up. smiles….
Audiobooks are my savoir when walking and sometimes spur me to go further–yep I have taken an actual block longer to hear the end of a chapter.
Saw this and forgot to sign up yesterday but got my first walk in this morning.

I just saw this in my Bloglovin’ feed and it is just the thing I need to get me going. I have given up on walking and a little motivation might get me going again! So after lunch – its already Jan 1st here in NZ, I am off for a walk.
