Hey Y’all! I am pretty sure you have noticed that it has been pretty quiet around here in 2018.

Reason: I have been switching jobs and with that has come less time to blog. I love that I am getting to challenge myself with learning new skills but I am sad it has impacted my blogging. Also the nature of the new job does not lend to a lot of free time that I can sit down for an hour to get in my blogging. So the last month I have been doing quite a bit of Social Media Blogging. I have been sharing what I am reading, what I am finding online, and interacting quite a bit through there. I have actually been listening and reading a ton more doing this too! So from here on out I am going to take a hybrid approach to blogging. There will still be reviews posted here  but not as many as before. I am going to post of those on Social Media and share them through there. The blog will mainly be used for discussion posts (I miss doing them), special events (Sultry Listeners, June is Audiobook Month, Love My Library Card, and 30 Days of Thanks) and Tuesday Audiobook Releases.

You can follow my social media adventures on Twitter and Instagram!  Twitter will have my quick check-ins and I feed my Instagram to that so it will have all my social media shenanigans. If you are just interested in just pictures then Instagram is the best place to follow me. I will be posting my reviews on Goodreads so you can follow me there for those (though a few will still make it here, those are the special ones and my contributors reviews).  I am going to spend Deweys Readathon catching up on Reviews so I can be up to date there (I am like 20 behind y’all LOL). So as you can see, I am totally going to keep doing what I was mostly just doing here but spread it around a bit.

This blog is not going away anytime soon. I will revisit that decision when my hosting is up for renewal in 2019. I still love blogging and having a platform to share longer posts. That being said, I do love the immediate interaction of Social Media Blogging and how  much time it frees up. So for me a hybrid approach is the perfect balance of interaction with the community AND time for reading/listening (and crafting)!

I am never going away though. I love the reading and audiobook communities. I love supporting and cheerleading writers and narrators. Mostly I love interacting with my fellow readers so even though this particular platform will be quieter, y’all are stuck with me for a very long time 🙂 🙂

Felicia shares how she is switching to a hybrid approach for blogging and what it means for her blog!

This is a great idea Felicia, although for me to do it I’d have to get a little bit more tech savvy. LOL Blogging is very time consuming though so I’m impressed you do it and work and take care of all you take care of… I’ll have to keep an eye on Twitter and Instagram for you and I just friend requested you on Goodreads. I couldn’t believe we weren’t already friends there. Anyway, good luck with your hybrid approach. I’ll be watching. 😉

  2. I try so hard to tweet about the books I read and be more interactive in that manner. But I just don’t have the knack for it. I walk away from social media for several hours to days over the weekend, so I don’t keep up a consistent discussion to catch on any real following. I am glad it’s working well for you!

    • I don’t spend a lot of time on it but it is more than I have had to blog. 🙂 However, most of it is not fancy cause I can barely take a picture with my phone much less stage a photo LOL

  4. Glad you not going away!!! I would so miss seeing your reviews, etc. Totally get that life and work can get in the way though and I am glad you have still found a way to interact. I kind of like the instareviews as you can say a tiny bit and still say how much you loved it. 🙂
