Read It, File It, Get It Done: I have finally took the plunge and started the Women of the Otherworld series. I have to say that Bitten reeled me in hook, line, and sinker. Kudos to Kelley Armstrong for some fab furrballs and kick ass action.

Quick Audiobook Note (3.5 Overall Rating):Β  Bitten by Kelley Armstrong was narrated By Aasne Vigesaa and ran 12 hrs and 59 mins. I don’t think I have listened to a book that Aasne has narrated before but she did a pretty good job with this one! Her male voices were not strong but I thought she was good for Elena. However this is the only book in the series she narrates.

  1. Oh, Felicia . . . I think Bitten is hands-down the BEST first-installment-of-an-UF series I have EVER read. Clayton Danvers = #1 book boyfriend. I’m interested to see what you think of the rest of the series. If you haven’t figured it out already, there are lots of POV changes, some more successful than others (IMO), but overall this is still one of my all-time favorite UF series.

And you MUST read the prequel Clay and Elena stories. Especially Beginnings (it’s in Tales of the Otherworld). It’s all about how they met and everything leading up to Clay biting her, and it might be my favorite story in the whole dang series, I don’t care if it’s only a novella. And now I’ll stop fangirling, LOL. Glad you liked it!

    • Clayton was super yummy even when I wanted to slap some duct tape over his mouth and rolled my eyes at all his alpha male caveman antics LOL

The Book Goonie lent me the rest of the books so I will be catching up. I think this will be my summer series πŸ™‚

  2. I loved Bitten and want to do a re-read so bad. When I first read it, it was borrowed, so now I will have to actually download it. In my defense, I already have one book from the series, I need to get the rest now to calm my OCD!

    • It takes until Book 3 for them to settle on a narrator. I am thinking I will probably read book 2 since they did that. It throws me off when the narrators change πŸ™‚

  3. I’ve never read anything by this author and feel like I’m the only person left in the world that hasn’t! You mention that this reader only reads the first book in this series – I wish that wasn’t the case when that happens! I get connected and (if they are good/great readers) I wish they stick around!

    • Actually after looking it isn’t until book 3 that they settle on the narrator. I am going to read book 2 then try the audio on 3. It might work better, it might not. I am the same, I don’t like narrator switchups!

  4. I really need to read this series, I have been watching the TV show Bitten on syfy and it’s based on this series and I really like the show, so I am sure the books will be better. πŸ™‚

    • I am really hoping that Bitten comes to Prime soon! I don’t have cable so I always have to wait LOL (*well I could pay for it but alas I probably won’t*)

  5. O Felicia, I still have to read this one too. Every time I pick it up and read the blurb, I put it down again. I will just have to push myself to start reading it.
    Glad you enjoyed it.

  6. This is the only book I have read by this author. I liked it but I haven’t gotten back to the rest of the series… sigh.. one of these days.

  7. Great! Now if you really get into this series I’ll be able to recommend one of my fav audiobooks, Men of the Otherworld…LOVED that one, but you have to be a little into the series, maybe a couple books to really enjoy it. It’s Clay’s story, beutifully narrated πŸ™‚

  8. I have heard great things about this book, Camel is always talking about it. I have it but haven’t read it…. I know, I know, I know I have to read it. I’ll read it this year… I still have 8 months. πŸ™‚

    • It is her favorite EVER! LOL

In fact my 4 wasn’t high enough in her estimation πŸ™‚ I really did enjoy it and have set it as my summer series!

  9. What? You gave my FAVOURITE werewolf book only 4 stars? Hmm… I might have to re-evaluate our friendship. πŸ˜‰ Haha j/k, I’m just glad that you listened to it, and enjoyed it.

    • I think I will like it more as the series goes on. It was the triangle. I am never a fan of those but since it was taken care of by the end. I am all good!
