Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in Oct 3 2014
Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time π
This week I averaged over my daily goal walking. That was a total win for me and also proof that I am ready to up my daily goal by 1000! So 7000 here I come starting tomorrow (Friday or today if you are reading this on Friday)! I did gain 2 lbs this week. I stayed within points so I need to take a hard look at my food journal and see if there is a certain food that maybe I should cut out. Sometimes even healthy foods don’t necessarily like our individual bodies. I am not letting it get me down (though it basically starts me from the beginning) because it is all a learning opportunity π

My goal is 10,000 steps a day, and twice I only hit 5K. But I am doing so much better with the cooler weather.
I will be posting on Sundays.
I only got to 10k steps one day, but I didn’t get there at all last week, so progress ;-). I’m so crazy busy with the start of term and just don’t have the time/energy/motivation to go walking on top of weight training, so that leaves me… one day to walk? I should probably walk more on the weekends though now that I think about it π *continues to sit on the couch and blog* I need a Tred Desk!

That’s great you met your walking goal and are increasing it now. Try not to let the 2 lbs get to you. I’m always going up and down a couple of pounds and it can be frustrating. But it could just be retaining water. But it is good that you are looking at your food journal! Have a great week!!
I’m starting to really look at the foods I eat, too. I bought the book, It Starts With Food by the authors who created the Whole 30 diet. I’m not sure I’m going to do the Whole 30, but I do want to read about the plan and at least incorporate some of those ideas into my regular eating habits.
You’re on the right track…just keep it up!!!
Today was a lazy week for me-I did get in a mile on Wednesday night with my daughter, and then last night I did a quick two miles before the rain came in (started sprinkling as I got back to my house π ). We have a gloomy weekend ahead of us, with lots of rain and temps in the 40s predicted. I’m going to try and get out at least once more though before Sunday night!
Well done on reaching goal – all the best with finding out the food culprit, but you know slight changes are odd and sometimes just goes the other way the next week.
