Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in December 19 2014
Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time 🙂
This week we are down to the next to last check-in for the year! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I am so proud of each and every one of you. Whether you have been at this all year or joined anywhere a long the way. You made a decision to make exercise part of your lives. I don’t know about you but this week totally proved what this was about for me! I was still dealing with the left over remnants of being sick (which you know are far more annoying than the actual being sick) and slowly working back up to my 8000 step goal. However, I think back to a year a go when I would said screw-it and sat on my butt instead. This week my totals instead looked like this:
- Fri: 9469
- Sat: 6836
- Sun: 4396 (rest day and always stunned I now naturally get 4000 steps in a day)
- Mon: 8273
- Tues: 7451
- Wed: 7388
- Thurs: 8942
A year ago those totals would have no where been close to that after sickness (or even just average). So thank you for inspiring me to get moving in my life. I know I feel better because of it!
Since last year (on this day) I have traveled: 949,859 steps or 410.92 miles which according to Google Maps means I have walked from Dallas to Hobbs NM 🙂

I didn’t have such a great week – due to insane work week and being sick. Thank goodness for my dogs – they get me out walking at least a few times each day!!!
Have a great week!
Checking in for the week :=)
I hope you are feeling better! You had a great year and thank you for organizing this challenge. I’m already planning my goals for next year and I can’t wait!
I’m on my way to register for next year. WOOT WOOT!
You’ve done really well. It’s great to look back and see how far you’ve travelled! I’ve had a good week, managed to do the steps in spite of all the rain my part of the world experienced this week.
Congrats Felicia! I signed up for the 2015 #FitReaders
That is SOOOO awesome Felicia! I am happy that you are in a better place this year – as am I. I have some stats from my year, but I only log my “walks” so it isn’t an accurate summary of the entire year. But one year ago, I wasn’t doing a single thing to be healthy, and now I’m walking 6 days/week between 2-6 miles each time. Thank YOU!! *HUGS*
I’ve been sick for 3 days, so I just don’t have the energy to exercise. I’ve been keeping up with my yoga though which is surprising considering breathing is a big part of it, and my nose isn’t cooperating at the moment. LOL! You killed this challenge in 2014; here’s hoping that 2015 will be even better!
