Balancing the Book Budget 2014

Monthly Balancing the Book Budget Check-In!


  • I can purchase up to $450 that I got in GC from Christmas/Birthday. and $150 actual Book Budget I have decided that I will spend zero dollars of my own money this year.
  • I can purchase up to $102.95 in books from Amazon w/the Publisher Settlement
  • I can use my audible credits (2 a month).  If I buy extra credits or if I use “Add Professional Narration” that comes out of my budget
  • I will track my review requests this year too

ANNOUNCEMENT: I have decided to use $200 of my Book Budget for my Home Improvements so that leaves me 34.02 for the rest of the year. This is actually a good thing because next year I am planning on only reading books off my shelf, review audiobooks, or library books. This will be good training!

  1. I probably should set a similar goal for myself next year – Maybe I’ll follow your example and give myself a smaller budget for the rest of the year and see if I can pull it off. Lord knows I have plenty of books to read!

  2. 39 books. Under $6. Now THAT’S impressive! I’ve spent more this past month than all year I think. It’s probably good that I have to get back to work next week.

    I blew my budget this month mostly due to the Kate Daniels ebook & audiobook sale. They were totally worth it.
