About the Book: HELL ON WHEELS
After failing as a magician’s assistant, a photographer, and most recently, a bride, Miranda Puckett takes a position as a driver for Beeline, Half-Moon Hollow’s premiere vampire concierge service.
Miranda’s assignment? Driving Collin Sutherland, the world’s most fastidious vampire from Washington to Kentucky, so he can deliver a mysterious black case to Council official Ophelia Lambert.
Collin, a paranoid, aristocratic vampire with a debilitating fear of flying, refuses to let the case out of his sight. Miranda needs this time on the road to decide whether to permanently cut her ties with the fiance that had an “emotional affair” with a childhood pal, but Collin’s neatnik tendencies are driving her around the bend. The man acts as if leaving a fast food wrapped on the passenger seat is reason for a full-on CDC de-contamination scrub-down of the car. All she can do is promise to stop intentionally doing the things that make his stiff upper lip twitch with irritation.
As more and more mishaps occur on the road trip from hell, Miranda and Collin work together to meet his delivery deadline. Hotel rooms are destroyed. Beloved cars are defiled. And somewhere along the line, client-driver hostilities become snarky flirtation.
Will Collin and Miranda make it to the Hollow in one piece? And if they do, will Miranda leave old, safe relationships behind for something new and well, just plain weird?

First Thought When Finished: What a very fun listen!
“I was thinking that after spending much more time together, we could determine whether you want to spend the rest of your life with me. Whether you feel the way I do. I think I could make you happy … barring natural disasters, mechanical failure, inadvertent public nudity, and pestilence pouring forth from the sky.”― Molly Harper, Driving Mr. Dead
Story Talk: This was such a cute story. I love that Miranda was a walking disaster and the vampire transport service was the perfect setting for this story. If something could go wrong, it went wrong in the most hilarious sort of way. Driving Mr Dead was a fun, sexy, wild ride!
Character Talk: Miranda was a wonderful lead character and almost as much fun as Jane Jameson. She was a walking hazard zone and just got into trouble at every turn. I just adored her! Colin was smexy, tight-assed, and the exact opposite of Miranda. He hasn’t met a rule he doesn’t love. Together they are just fantastic! They will keep each other on their toes for many years to come 🙂
Audio Talk:
Narrated by Amanda Ronconi at a running time of 5h 2m 31s
I loved the audiobook. Amanda has just enough snark to pull these characters off without a hitch. She does this series well. I will say that I am not a fan of her man voices but the women voices more than make up for it!
Final Thought: I am looking forward to the second book. I will start it immediately.

Great review. I’m listening to this one right now and agree.
I love Molly Harper anyway but this one was a ton of fun 🙂 She was just a walking disaster, it made me giggle.
the characters sound delightful and I love that it was fun and cute for you..awesome review!
I adore her. I used to have this awesome snort club graphic that I used with her books but Melissa said it creeped her out LOL
don’t know about you, but I loved the boob paint job :p LOL, I love Molly Harper, her books are my comfort books, they always bring me smiles and laughs Book Savvy Babe
I loved his freaking list! It cracked me up and then him trying to teach himself how to drive—UGH and fun! 🙂 The boob paint shop was hysterical 🙂
Seems like a short and sweet audio. Love the sound of this couple.
It was a quick listen and the pace of the book was great!
Oh, sounds good! I’ve been meaning to try Molly Harper for awhile now. I’ve heard she’s hilarious! I’ll have to add this to my should-try-on-audio list! 🙂
It would be great for short breaks you have for listening. The audio is short and this can be read as a stand alone 🙂
Oh this sounds like a great fun read (listen) Thanks for sharing it. I love the title and smiled when I saw it, just wondering what the story would be like.
It is super fun! Molly has a great sense of humor and her characters are fantastic 🙂
I really like Molly Harper–her stories are always funny with really cute love stories.
They are always there to hit that sarcasm with love spot 🙂 She is like hot chocolate—you can always count on her.
YESSSSS! I so want to read this one. Sounds perfect.
Oh is tight-assed a literal or metaphorical comment? ;D LOL
I think the “driving” contract was 22 pages—I will let you make the call on literal or meaphorical LOL (including do not drive more than 5 miles above the speed limit, no food wrappers in the car, and you can only stop at these specific places) 🙂
Sounds fun 😀 Even if he must be such an annoying man to drive at first
He was super annoying with a Capital A! Which made it all that much more fun when he had to thaw out 🙂
AHHH! Molly Harper is an author I want to check out. I have had her Flirting with A Naked Werewolf on my kindle for almost two years. I just saw it there yesterday and was cursing since I haven’t read it. I did just get an ARC for her newest book, can’t remember the name. so I will finally be reading her book! I love the idea of this one and so glad it was a good read, I am not a fan of the cover for some reason, it gives me the creeps.
I am so glad that you put it on your read list. I think the ARC you probably got was for her new Witch series or maybe her Bluegrass series. I think those are the next two out for her. They both should be cute!
O this sounds like one I would enjoy.
It is fun, light, and cute! 🙂
I love “opposites attract” romances. Sounds like a fun read!
They are total opposites 🙂 It was super fun 🙂
Molly Harper is one I’m always looking for in HPB & can never find. Now I’m looking forward to her vampires along with her werewolves.
I have the werewolves in paperback if you ever want to borrow them. Just let me know 🙂
