Take me down to Vampire City...Vampires live only for lust and pleasure in the eternal twilight of Vamp City. But the city's magic is dying. The only person who can restore it? A beautiful woman from the mortal world...one who knows nothing of the power she wields.Quinn Lennox is searching for a missing friend when she stumbles into a dark otherworld that only she can see—and finds herself at the mercy of Arturo Mazza, a dangerously handsome vampire whose wicked kiss will save her, enslave her, bewitch her, and betray her. What Arturo can't do is forget about her—any more than Quinn can control her own feelings for him. Neither one can let desire get in the way of their mission—his to save his people, hers to save herself. But there is no escape from desire in a city built for seduction, where passion flows hot and blood-red.Welcome to Vamp City...

First Thought when Finished: I like dark UF and A Blood Seduction by Pamela Palmer was pretty darn dark!

Quick Thoughts: Strong world building and a story that made me shiver at times is what hooked me into the Vamp City series. I will admit that I am still warming up to the characters. I am really beginning to like Quinn but there are moments I still want to strangle her. I am not in love with Arturo but I get his POV. I am sure that book 2 will probably sell me on them as individuals. I do love the side characters though. They rock! That ending pretty much made me wish that I had book 2 but it is on the way (both on hold at the library and coming from Tantor). Can’t wait!

Audio Thoughts

Narrated By Rebecca Estrella / Length: 10 hrs and 47 mins

I enjoyed the narration by Rebecca. Her timing and voice for Quinn were spot on. Her accents for some of the vamps in Vamp City blew me away. I wasn’t as in love with her voice for Arturo but gonna be honest it might not have been her but his character. Her pacing and tone were spot on! I will be listening to book 2.

  1. I enjoyed this book. It was a re-visit for me on audio. I liked the narrator, but didn’t think she brought the darkness of the story very well. I listened to book two and she grew on me more, but I think that could be that book two is less dark than this one. Great review. I’m still waiting to hear if book three will be on audio.

    • I had not! Book 2 is on my agenda starting Monday on audio 🙂 PS your blog is blocked at work –I always laugh when one is so I will be around this weekend. I am not great at the comment on the phone thing LOL

  2. I really enjoy this series. I have the 3rd and last book to read. I was tempted to request the audios but didn’t have time for a reread so I passed.
