Book: Luther the Calling
Author: Neil Cross

Listened for Review
Overall Rating 4.25
Story Rating 4.00
Character Rating 4.50

Audio Rating: 4.50 (not part of the overall rating)

Overall Thoughts: Luther is an excellent book (or prequel to the TV Series) for anyone who likes gritty thrillers from England! I listened to this one twice because I originally thought they had combined characters in the book (thought it was a continuation not a prequel). They didn’t–this is a prequel!

How many books are actually in the Temperance Brennan series? I feel like it might be a little like the In Death series with 20+ books. I would like to give one of them a try at some point, I feel like I’d really enjoy them since I love the show so much!

I think there are like 15 but I am going to be honest I haven’t read all of them and totally read them out of order. There is very little overlapping story and you can pick up on it pretty quick. It is pretty much about the cases πŸ™‚

Now I will say Tempe is a little different in the books (she is older) but she is still a great leading character!

Yep! It felt so good getting them out there and just washing my hands of them πŸ™‚ I loved all 4 books in way one or another just couldn’t say that much about them that didn’t sound “dialed in”
